Hi,

I'm confused! I have been told by a lawyer that some consulates want you to physically mail in the documentation (DS260 +Financial Documents) instead of submitting on the CEAC website? It looks like it should be done on the website but I'm not sure! Our consulate is allocated to Sydney....? Thoughts/experiences?

I 864 and ds 260 fees have to be paid for to NVC (you should be getting a bill for this)

then you pay to CEAC and send the supporting documents

this is for spouse visa / fiancee visa is different as well as tourist visa fees and process as those are paid to embassy

BTW there is also a green card processing fee to be paid after a successful interview and that can be paid online

only after the documents are received and approved by NVC will the embassy get the packet

embassies do want to see the original tax returns, criminal reports, medical exam, etc (each consulate is different on the other supporting documents they ask for and you will know when they want originals
