Hi all,

I applied for my father (i130) and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on why NVC would send a case back to USCIS for administrative action? Has anyone else experienced this?

Brief timeline:

12/2018 - Sent i130

08/2019 - USCIS approved application and sent it to NVC

10/2019 - NVC sent it back to USCIS for administrative action

Thank you!

Since USCIS is responsible for checking to see if all the documents are there and correct , i would only be guessing that something (1 or several of them) was missing and either not sent to USCIS by you or misplaced and not sent to NVC by USCIS

and, again ,  only guessing

Thank you kris&me and Purpose driven. We applied with a lawyer so I figure that all of our documentation was correct, but there’s always a possibility.

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

Unfortunately , paying a lawyer for the work is not a guarantee of correct filing 😢
