Hi everyone! Just wanted to post that literally less than 10 minutes ago our EAD Application was updated to “New Card is Being Produced”!

Hi guys! Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my "Case Approved" for both the I-765 and I-131 on 06/12/2020 and I received the physical approval notices in the mail today (06/15/2020). I responded to an RFIE on my I-485 and they received it on the 04/01/2020. The status on my I-485 currently says "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received" and the I-130 says "Case Was Received".

Hope everyone is doing well!

I just checked again and just received “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview”! I guess I’m a bit behind, haha.. that RFIE set me back a bit.

anyone know how long the average waiting times are for the actual interview?

xx

Good news that your I-765, I-131 got approved. Congrats!

Actual interviews wait time is different for each local field office and it depends on the number of similar cases that they are processing, but I heard they putting green card requests on hold for a while to focus on naturalization cases. you can read about it here.

Ours has been ready to be scheduled for an interview since Feb 10, 2020 - which was before the pandemic.  My husband's I-765 and I-131 were approved a month ago.  We are receiving his SS card in the mail today. I honestly wouldn't be upset if things were delayed enough that his card wasn't issued until after Nov 1, since that's after our 2 year anniversary and he would get a permanent green card instead of a conditional one.

Thanks for sharing some of your updates! This might be a dumb question but why would he get a permanent green card instead of a conditional one after your 2 year anniversary?

Not a stupid question...if you have been married more than 2 years, then a permanent green card issued that's good for 10 years.  If married less than 2 years, then a conditional green card is issued for 2 years and you must petition to remove the condition during the 90 days before it expires (which will cost more money to do).

Wow! Thanks so much for informing me. In my case this was something important to know - I think we'll be put on a conditional green card. Appreciate it :)

Is anybody here still waiting for EAD approval without receiving any RFIE? I’m 1/4/2020 filer and haven’t received any updates after my fingerprints done in February. The cases that applied 2 weeks after me are getting their EAD approved this week. I want to see if there is anybody in same situation from December filers?

We got a notification today that our I-485 case has been scheduled for an interview. 😀  I'll update more when we receive the notification in the mail.

Congratulations, had your interview been cancelled previously?
