I just received an email from CRIS stating that they mailed out an RFE today... :(

How long does it usually take to receive it?

Also, is there a way to found out what info. was requested before I get it in the mail?

06/11/2007 ----- UPDATE (Received RFE today...sent evidence back same day)

06/12/2007 ----- Touched ! (come on... I sent the info. already. What now?)

06/13/2007 ----- RFE accepted in Laguna Niguel; signed by V. Semegi

06/21/2007 ----- UPDATE - Response to RFE received; Case processing resumed

07/09/2007 ----- APPROVAL NOTICE SENT !!!

07/23/2007 ----- NVC starts case processing

------------------- Jame's Shortcuts in Progress ;)

10/16/2007 ----- CASE COMPLETE !!! ...Finally

10/25/2007 ----- CASE FORWARDED TO MUMBAI !!!

12/04/2007 ----- INTERVIEW PACKET !!!

01/24/2008 ----- VISA GRANTED!!!............PASSPORT IN HAND !!! :)

01/30/2008 ----- ARRIVAL TO U.S !!! :)

12/30/2009 ----- I-751 sent

Don't panic before your receive the RFE. It could be for something as simple as not signing a form, or requesting a missing document.

You should receive the RFE in the mail in a few days and then you can deal with their request and get back on the road to approval.

so sorry to hear that you got an RFE greeneclipse :( but you never know...it may be something as simple as they misplaced a document and they need you to resend it...or you need to sign something and once you figure out what it is...send it and then you will get approved i hope!!!!! :) take care and do not worry!! i will be praying for a speedy approval for ya!!:)

You may also want to register with USCIS for online access to case status. That is done from the same page where you registered for the email updates. Information in the online account area will show the information about your case--and it should show RFE status, although I have no direct experience with that type of information from their website.
