Hi everyone!

I have a few questions about the EAD expedite process. I received a job offer at a university a couple of days ago, and called USCIS to open an expedite request case.

I am hoping it will be expedited under the category of financial hardship as my husband (the US citizen petitioner) is a full time student with an income under the poverty guideline.

Over the phone, the USCIS staff gave me a new 16 digit code (a mix of numbers and letters). She told me I can check the status online, but I can't find out where to put this code?

My other question is: if I am successful and receive the expedited EAD card, will I also be granted AP at the same time?

Apologies for my timeline - Iife has been hectic and I've lost track of dates!

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Emily

If you need to expedite AP that would be done separately. Seems you only expedited EAD?

Yes, I only requested to expedite EAD :) I have no real reason to expedite AP.

But I've read on some forum posts that the EAD and AP are a combo card?

The normal process results in a Combo card.
