Before filling, wants to make sure the transcripts are in good shape to file, will not affect citizenship application. What information should we check into or pay more attention in those transcripts pages? "Amount due " shows 0, or other important key items? Many thanks for advice.

Of course, not going to change anything on it, just if certain information do not meet requirement or possibly arise the doubt, then now will pay and talk to the immigrant lawyer, to prepare additional evidence, before submitting application.

I can see that our joint tax transcripts "amount you own"  for 2018 is 0, "refund" for 2017 is $-449, but "amount you own" for 2016 is $25. Does that mean we own "0" for the those 3 years, or we still own"$25"? My husband kind of remembers we paid those $25 with check while filing return, but not sure. Do I need to file the evidence for the payment $23 to IRS? Or it is too small to care.

Doesn't matter if the amount you owe is small or huge, the IO wants to know if you paid the amount the you owe or if there is payment arrangement if in case the amount is huge.

Bottom line you have to show proof of payment or payment arrangement.

They look at your income, not your tax payments.

DO NOT alter anything on the transcripts.

You should be submitting tax return transcripts, not tax account transcripts.

I attached the copy of our payment check and that bank transaction record. Also the immigrant lawyer suggested including the account transcript for 2018 along with all of the tax transcripts.  if the current one doesn’t show this then it’s no longer owed.  It was paid at some point.
