unmarried daughter over 21

Timeline

a little uncertainity here. can a conditional permanent resident file for an unmarried daughter over 21,or is it required to wait for LPR status after 2 years. thanks as always. and yes i did search the forums relating to this but did not find the answer.

appointment for biometrics aug 01 so far, smooth sailing

AOS appointment OCT. 31
Approved-card production ordered
green card in hand 11/05/2007 I-751 packet signed for at vsc 08/03/2009 received receipt notice and biometrics app. letter on same day 08/13/2009. bio. app.for 09/04/2009

Timeline

A person that is a conditional permanent resident, is an LPR, just with conditions, and yes they can file for a Family second preference visa for unmarried son or daughter over 20, using form I-130.

thanks everybody,especially you, YuAndDan,for the link. i saw the processing times on uscis site but it was 2002 and i know those processing dates are very seldom reliable. anyway i got the answer i needed.good luck everyone AND HAPPY USCIS TRAILS<HAHAHA at the end of it all anyway.

It will take much longer than that to get the visa. That is the processing date from the CSC. That is not the current priority date for visa interview. To see the current priority dates for visa interview, you have to look at the current visa bulletin. Priority 2B currently varies from 1992 - 1997 depending on the country. CSC may process the petition within a couple of years, but it will then sit at the NVC until the priority date becomes current -- in about 10 - 15 years.
