Congrats, God is good  !!!

All the documents you sent online DS 260 you took all the originals ?

So Basically how long are you planning to stay there or is your spouse coming back with you ? From what I heard it's best for petitioner to go with benefiary. I just got back from DR Saturday 01/11 and was hoping my husband would be coming back with me from what I see here it takes months before getting an interview.

Basically took everything I submitted to NVC. They most likely won't need most of it but it's better to be safe than sorry. Birth  and marriage certificates originals, photocopies, translations can help too but not sure they're necessary, recent acta de buena conducta, i864 AOS and all tax documents, petitioners evidence of citizenship, relationship, etc. . Basically everything.

Also, I planned this over a year ago with my work to basically have three or so weeks off. First for the interview and the last two to receive the visa in hand to be able to fly back together. Figured if it doesn't come before I leave, than just wait till a family member or I come back to get her. But since visa is approved we shoukd get the passport back this week or beginning next week.

Okay so basically everything I submitted. Yes , I just went for three weeks but from the looks of it I guess I have some time to plan it and accrue enough leave to go back. I think I need to at least go for two weeks for the interview ,and if that's not enough time just go back to pick him up later date. The most important step is the approval. When you receive the interview letter , does it include a checklist with information about : medical exam, fingerprints and all that?  Sorry to ask so much questions.

Yeah it basically just sends you to department of state website with further instructions there. Medical exam suggest doing right away and getting all documents together. It'll be about 450 or so without vaccination card st older clinic .  Also to make appointment for fingerprints. Just make a profile on ustraveldocs or call the VAC in galería 360.

Make a profile at" ustraveldocs or call VAC in Galeria " what are those?  Its definitely an ongoing process , but definitely worth it at the end.

Make a profile here with all of the beneficiary info and once you're done there'll be a list of appointment dates and times you can choose from to do the biometrics at galeria 360. But only do this once you get the inteview letter. For example when the interview letter comes, have the beneficiary go in the early morning to medical exam and schedule the biometrics appointment on the same day as the medical exam to get everything done.

Hello ,

Hope everyone is doing great !

I received an email on January 2nd , all my documents have been accepted and qualified from NVC , I see a lot of people case completed in 9/2019 and 10/2019 and received interview for January& February  2020. My case has been processed with Potomac processing center which from what I hard and seen in others timeline they work pretty fast. I seen in USCIS website states that :

7.5 Months to 9.5 Months
U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21
April 12, 2019

So does that mean my case should be processed soon since my receipt date from NOA1 is 04/15/2019 ? Any feedback will help.  Thank you !

USCIS has nothing to do with scheduling a CR-1/IR-1 interview.  Your consulate will inform NVC of available interview dates...Then NVC will schedule interviews on a "first come-first served" basis......

Hi, does the type of visa has anything to do with early/late interview scheduling?Everybody on this thread is family based visa, but mine is employment based and I was wondering if it was a different queue. My CC is Jan 10, 2020

Also, what are the mandatory vaccines for adults and children? If you get all your vaccines outside of the mandatory medical it's way cheaper than getting them at the med exam

Bigger consulates will split up the types of interviews to certain days or times.  This can affect overall scheduling but not usually in significant way - usually a few week lag.   But also there are certain visa types that schedule their own interviews. Holes might open up based on cancellations.  If you are waiting because it is up to the NVC to schedule based on consulate availability, you just have to wait.  Consulates usually send NVC appointment blocks once a month.
