There can be a different set but mostly we find that the embassy's use the following and this is how you follow.

Use ceac.state.gov and enter your DS-160 confirmation number for this exercise. When the Embassy is ready to issue a visa, the status on CEAC will change to "Non-immigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you will know that you are a few days away from getting the visa.

You begin the exercise using "Immigrant Visa Application" (Administrative Processing) and if nonthing comes up or returns an error message try using  "Non-immigrant Visa Application" (Administrative processing) your status will display. Once your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" and then ==>> "Issued" status. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days or months. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.

Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".
