I vaguely remember my husband (petitioner) mentioning that there is some kind of interview he will need to go to for finalizing the online petition and signing things in person after submitting the I-130 online. I have not read anything on the boards about this... anyone have any more information on this? Thanks!

Generally there is no interview or biometrics for the petitioner with the 130 UNLESS they have a criminal record or there is a concern about the validity of the relationship. USCIS does have the option to ask for their biometrics and/or an in person interview however it is not standard practice. I suppose there is a disclaimer of such on the online application- on the paper form it is buried in the fine print. So I suspect the wording online caught his eye but it most likely said 'may be required for biometrics/interview' key word being 'may'.
