OK, one other question:  I just booked her ticket home.  I entered her Philippine passport information.  This caused the airline system to prompt me for a US Visa # and issue date.

So, I entered her K-1 Visa (which is now expired).   She has her AP / EAD card.

Did I do this correctly?  I don't want her to have any problems when she boards her flight back home.

I’m not familiar with PH airline processes. Her K1 won’t help. Call the airline reservation number. I assume you are trying to fill in the required APIS section ..

I have a message out with American Airlines.  I'll post back what they say.  Maybe it will be helpful for someone.

OK, American Airlines said this:

Don't worry about the Visa # entry.  It will get flagged and caught at check-in time.  The flight won't be cancelled.  When she checks in she will have to show her Advance Parole documentation.

I'm still nervous AF about this, but not much I can do about it except worry until she re-enters the USA.

That airline is exactly correct.  My wife just returned from Asia with an expired Green Card and extension letter.  She did not use online check in.  At check in, the employees were very thorough.  She had to show her entry documents before boarding.  American was the last leg from Tokyo......She had no problems since she had a valid extension letter.

Hopefully the EAD/AP card is enough.  We have no other documents.

Passport and a valid EAD/AP card is all you need.   Don't worry.

You don’t need other documents .. unless her passport and AP card have different last names .. Ie maiden name on one and married name on the other ... then the marriage certificate should also be carried.

Super helpful.  I'll have her bring our marriage certificate with her.

(I just filed the foreign marriage document with the Philippine embassy ... had to send them 4 of the marriage certificate ...).

THANK YOU ...  I know I'm being over cautious, but after all we've been through to be together I don't want to inadvertently walk into any problems.

Happy New Year to you.

We traveled around Asia and eventually central America.  Just needed the marriage certificate copy to tie the names together.   Book the flights in the name on her passport.

Ask for the Balikbayan stamp if you travel to PI with her!

Understood and we did (under her passport name)

What is a Balikbayan stamp?

If you travel with her and go thru the Filipino line at immigration she can ask for the BB stamp for you.  It used to be a "special" round entry stamp.  It gives you a 1 year entry.   I've tried a few times with my asawa but they just write "BB 1year" on my entry.   I've since given up and just go thru the APEC line and get our luggage.

It will be an easy trip for her.  She still fills out an exit form but doesn't pay an exit tax anymore unless she stays a year.
