Melbourne Medical - how much?

Looking to get my medical done in Melbourne. Can anyone give a ballpark as to how much it cost them and any ways to bring down costs? I never really considered that vaccines etc might not be covered under Medicare, so I’m thinking it might be better to get them done at the GP...

Is this for a CR1 visa? 
 

doctor in toorak is around $595 plus you pay for vaccinations.

 

you cant go to any GP only one that is preferred by US consulate.

This is not covered by Medicare either

 

 

Go here and click on approved physicians. There are two in Melbourne. One in Toorak and one in the city.

It’s for the DV.

 

I’m aware I can’t just go to the GP for the medical, but if I can get the vaccinations done prior, they may be cheaper.

 

I dont have great vaccination records, does that mean I’ll need to get everything again?

I would suss out what you need re: vaccines.

 

 

you can also get your vaccine record from the Australian immunization record too (depending on your age etc).

 

what my GP has said is that when it gets closer to my medical time, I’ll get a blood test to see what I’m vaccinated against and then I’ll get them through her and she’ll provide me with blood test results to take with me.
