visa medical- injections needed

So I have my medical booked- my first question is, from reading this forum I can see it used to be at Kensington clinic and has now changed locations to another place in London that seem to do the US medicals, is there a reason for this change? I'm just curious really when and why it has changed and if people have any advice or pointers about the new place where it takes place?

 

 

Also I am trying to make sure I am up to date with my vaccines, trying to find out what you need online is so confusing as I know a lot are age dependant etc, so for reference I am 23. The injections I have had are as follows:

 

Flu (2019)

Diphtheria, Pertussis, Polio, Tetanus (2019)

Meningococcal A,W135, Y (2015)

Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2003)

HIB (1997)

 

There are other repeats of some of the others throughout the year, but I just tried to keep it concise and show my latest up- to-date ones. If anyone could give any advice as to whether I require anymore that would be much appreciated.

The clinic is the same one it has always been...well since 2008 when I went there.  They used to have two locations but the Marylebone location did all the visa medicals:

They used to go by the name Knightsbridge Doctors and I noticed a year or so ago the website is now called Visa Medicals and only the one location is featured. But it's the same basic website and the same location everybody has gone to for years.

 

The 4 shots needed for your age are

Tdap or Td within the last 10 years. You've got that.

MMR (used to be two in your life, but I think that's been relaxed to one) You've likely had more than the one you listed.

Flu. You've got that

Varicella. Not routinely found in the UK but if you tell them you've had chickenpox, the shot is waived. Your immunisation form they fill out will be marked "Varicella History" meaning you don't need the shot.

Ahh I see okay, I think that's what was confusing me. Thank for clearing that up and for the info about the injections, looks like I've got them all so that's great. Just want to avoid any extra cost on the day!
