Hey, so I got my greencard about 3 weeks ago and while going through AOS I didnt legally change my last name (stupid I know) is there a way to do it now? Or is there a way to do it when I remove conditions? Having a hard time finding info about this.

Thanks!

You Can send in a new form to get it done but you’ll have to pay the fee for it.

As posted you can change your name to your married last name (only, if you want a different first name or different last name then your husbands you need to get a name change done in court first) But if its just the last name changing from maiden to married you can send in the i90 now and either pay the fees (you may qualify for a fee waiver) OR use the maiden name for now and at ROC fill out the 751 with the married name and the new GC will come with that name.

Or you can wait the 3 years out after the marriage and ask for the name change with the citizenship by USCIS at the oath ceremony

I don't recommend this, you don't need a legal name change like the one at naturalization if you only want to change your last name to your husband's. Your marriage certificate is a name change document you can use at ROC (or whenever you want).
