Hi all ,

I am a US National starting DCF process for my wife who is a British National.

Me and her have been living together in London for the past 1 year and were working in Sydney,Australia for 3 years prior to that.

We left Sydney in November 2018 and  but applied for PCC ( National Police Certificate ) in October 2017.

The certificate states :

This is to certify there are no disclosable court outcomes recorded against the name of:
my wife's name

in the records of the Australian Federal Police and the police in all the Australian States as at 07 November 2017.

Do we need to apply for a fresh Police Certificate from the Australian Govt. to process IR1 for my wife along with PCC from England ?

Yes but only because the PC was more than a year old by the time you left.  If you'd obtained it right before you left and hadn't returned since, then it would be fine, but in this case I think it would be better to request a new cert.

Yes you should get a new Australian one as she has lived in the country since the date it was issued.

You might also want to brush up on correct terminology. “US national” and “British National” are completely different things to “US citizen” and “British citizen”. The IR-1/CR-1 process is for spouses of US citizens - I am assuming you are actually a citizen, not a national. And that your wife is a British citizen.
