Hello everybody,

I just called the NVC and a very 'annoyed" and rude operator told me that they had received the AOS bill on 6/4/07. Then I asked her if the I-864 was going to be sent out soon and she just huffed and puffed and said "all I see is that we have a packet to send out". I asked her "is that the I-864 packet?" and she said "no it's a packet with instructions for you to go online and get the stuff we need from you". I repeated "is that the I-864?" and she said "I don't know, all the system tells me is that it's a packet with instructions for you to follow". So then I finally asked her if it was already generated and she said "it will be sent out some time this week".

#######?? What was she talking about? I'm so confused. Is the instruction packet that she was talking about the I-864? Because if it is, I have all ready here at my desk to send it out as soon as I go out on my lunch break.

Please help me guys.

Thanks!!

Diana

Aw. I hate it when operators are 1. rude 2. ignorant. It's so not necessary.

Anyway, I'm not a 100% sure, but my husband said that what was in the I-864 package were indeed instructions to go online and print out the appropriate forms to fill in. So, it's looking good, but I would call again later and cross extremities to get an operator that actually KNOWS.

Based on your timeline, you will get two packets soon. One is I-864 packet and the other is DS 230 packet. Don't worry about the operator. Maybe the operator had a bad day!

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Thanks guys, but the reason I asked was so I could know when to send the I-864 to the NVC. I'm using James' shortcuts and don't want to wait another week or so for it to arrive since I can send it now.

Augh, that operator just made me so mad!!!

I think, you can send your I-864 packet. But call NVC and try to speak with an operator again and ask, if I-864 is generated.

Oh please, I mailed it yesterday as soon as I got off from work. I had it all ready here at work. ^_^

My husband already got his paperwork along with translations and DS-230 ready to mail them to me. As soon as NVC generates it... off it goes!!!! :dancing:
