Creepy

Should really be a free form, so many options.

Sorry about your TV choices, we will keep you updated on progress. They have moved on to evening gowns.

Puerto Rico is through, leaning now towards France....

I think I pre judged in focusing too much on the Bikini section, I really need to find out what they do to work with children.

God, this film is dreadful. I do relate to being the hopeless, awkward American abroad though.

Puerto Rico 3rd

Mexico 2nd

and South Africa first? Most odd.

I watched it in the end on Univision, the American commentary was awful.

The movie was indeed terrible but I watched all of it. Miss Universe seems like it was better. 10pm we start in on the second in an apparent trilogy of Christmas Prince movies. :dead:

Perhaps I do need to ask why?

Because I'm staying with my friend and unlike me, she prefers rom-coms to horror. I do not recommend this series of films to anyone diabetic. Really should have insisted on staying in a hotel, where I can just turn on an episode of SVU and fall asleep.

Ahh context is everything.

Will she be going to the Hen Party?

Yes, almost certainly. She was at the last one, but she likes this husband much more than the first. She's a family law attorney and thinks most marriages are a costly mistake but she is generally in favor of this one.

When I pointed out that it is kind of hypocritical for her to be so down on marriage and love rom-coms so much (and those rarely end with the couple just shacking up), she told me that like Walt Whitman she contains multitudes and to be quiet.

Did she have any success? The be quiet bit.

Sort of make sense, for example if you were a Doctor who dealt with a lot of ski accidents you probably would not be that interested in going skiing yourself. But on the other hand you would not want everybody else to stop as that would be the end of your business.

Being quiet? Yes. I'm just tapping away at my phone now. She's onto the next installment now.

I think that's insightful what you said about the doctor. She's pretty terrible with relationships but likes to see successful ones because most days she sees people behaving badly in and out of them. Cheating spouses, tugs of war over children and possessions and pets and homes and yachts. (Okay, one yacht, one time.) The only bits that are even slightly nice she says are the prenups because everyone is still hopeful.
