yogi, good luck man///the nurse sounds like she is conerned that you be on a telephone pole installing cable and apss out..need to be proactive and sounds like you now are.

I am going to win. Gimygirl gave me a link to the ADA. it was very interesting. I sent to my father and he thinks the Nurse over step her boundries.

If I dont get hired on, I can seek legal and win. I dont need speical accomadations but I know I can perfom the duites safe.

As for the pole climbing.. over 90% of the cable in our county is underground. It will be a rare time if I need to climb a pole.

so I am not to worry about that. even if I did not have this problem I maybe a little scared of the pole but in time you will get comferable and it will be second nature.

Those statistics can be misleading. What is the % in your area?

Where I live, they're almsot all above ground. I see Cablevision azzholes on poles all the time.

It's not just the pole climbing that the employer has to be concerned about, it's also driving the company car. They can't discriminate because you have diabetes, but if your diabetes can potentially keep you from performing the job duties they can not hire you on that basis or have to find another job or one with accomadations for your condition. You'll need a medical release in order to get the job most likely. Put it this way, if I were to go in for the same job in my condition right now they'd be doing the same thing (I'm 6 months pregnant).

Yes I aggree with you. I never had a situation when almost passed out while driving.. if I get low sugar, I try to go to a gas station and get a quick sugar.

Yes you may be pregnant, your case is only temp. mine is permenant so they have other options. I read on the ADA site, I read they cant withdrawl a employment offer based on a medical condition. I informed the person I never had a problem or ever passed out but she said it will happen someday and their is always a frist for everything. But under the ADA act, and legaly They have to still honor the offer.

OK

UPDATE

I went to my doctor today for a follow up from my last apointment. She is going to sign the paper and relese me for work. She just incressed some medicane dose and gave me a new RX.

I just have to send her weekly a copy of my sugars and a one a day BP. That is simple to do.

SO I am back on track and looking forward to April 10th.

:D
