Good day everyone,

I need your advise on an issue. My partner’s Job’s contract will end by 1st week of January. We are already married and currently putting our evidences of Bonafide marriage together; hence we plan to submit by January.

Issue: By the time we plan to submit; he would be out of job. Is it still fine to use him as for the affidavit of support or we should find a joint sponsor.

He doesn’t plan to get another job immediately.

I look forward to reading for you.

Thank you.

Without a Timeline VJ members are hesitant to reply because we have no idea what your circumstances are.

There are many different situations that could cause someone to write what you posted.

The Timeline is like an outline that allows people to quickly scan your standing  with  USCIS.

Without  specifics no one can provide an intelligent answer.

Timeline also eliminates a tedious Q & A for each thread so information can be provided efficiently.

Assuming the partner is the USC, you will have to have a joint sponsor for your AOS. You can not submit a successful package without the finances for the 864a. At best you would get an RFE, at worst, an outright denial for not including it in the first place.

Why is he not planning on looking for work? How will he support you? Is he independently wealthy? If thats the case, he can use assets for the financial stuff.
