I got a concern for this. Maybe you know the answer.  I got my police clearence from washigton state based on my name birth date online. and from oregon I got it based on my fingerprint by mailing it. . Which is true? I have also police clearence from my home country too.

It’s not mandatory to take your fingerprints to get a  police clearance. Some States issue the police clearance just checking their database.

Hello everyone,

I came to the US 2015 on a K1 visa, applied for VAWA end of 2017 with significant help from sandranj , got approved Sept. 2019, currently waiting on my interview for AOS. I have 2 questions

1- if I got my green card based on VAWA after how many years can I apply for citizenship, 3 or 5?

2- if I wish to sponsor a spouse from abroad, can I do it right away after citizenship or there is a wait time?

Thanks and best of luck for all

If your former spouse is a U.S. Citizen you can apply for naturalization after 2.9 months. If the spouse is a green card holder then he/she has to wait 5 years .

It’s advised to wait a while to remarry.I have one case the guy remarried 30months after he  divorced, but USCIS sent a request of evidence  asking to explain why he remarried “so soon”,yep the “so soon” was their word. I explained that he was not rushing into marriage,he was dating for two years, and that thousands  of U.S Citizens remarry right after they  divorced and I didn’t see any reason why he could not remarry after 30months.USCIS approved  his wife CR1, that being sad if you just divorced then wait at least 14/18 months to remarry.

Immigration won’t approve your case until you have  a certified court deposition showing the case was dismissed,or until you prove  the crime you were charged or sentenced   is not a felony or a crime of moral turpitude

Uscis won’t deny your green card  during the interview if you don’t have yet the documents I mentioned above, they will put your case on hold.

@sandranj

thank you so much respond to me , I am very appreciate it .

they charge with the offense of a misdemeanor . Not felony . Because no need any money bail bond .

Copy

Hello my dear friends.
I already asked a similar question, but did not understand how to do it better.
Should I send AR-11?
I receive the correspondence to my address in Russia, from which I will send it to USCIS, but in my personal internet account there is the address of my ex-husband, and it can’t be changed to another country except the USA, you can only change the address in the USA.
Should I give them a letter with this form of AR- 11?

Do I should wrote an address in Russia?
Or should I leave it as it is ....

Thank you.

please be kind .Answer me .Do I have to write such a letter?
Copy of message ...

Hi sweetheart. if USCIS has your old mailing address, you can send AR11 form to them to update your address.

@sandranj I have a similar question, please help me. I received a ticket for reckless driving in Virginia, over there is a misdemeanor. I hired a lawyer and at the court he could reduce for a regular traffic ticket and I paid the fine. Do you think it will be a problem for the GC application, my 360 still pending and to travel with the Advance Parole, you think will be a problem when returning to the country?

Thanks everyone in advance!
