So I am very confused with what has been said in this forum. Last year of December 2018 I was dismayed because I filed my i765 under c31 before reading the comments that it should have been c09 since my husband is a USC and with c31 I will get EAD only after the vawa is approved.Β  But with me is not the case. I still received the i765 and i131 approval on May 2019, 5 months after.Β

Β

I was very happy and thankful to God that it did happen.Β

Β

Just wanna share because I always readΒ  from this forum to do the c09 to get EAD. Maybe our experts can shed some light.

Thank you for the response. Let's say if i go to interview first and officer decide to put the i-485 on hold then my spouse withdraw i-130. Will it gonna effect my i-485?Β

It will not affect the AOS If the IOΒ put your AOS on hold.Β

I do not have lawyer. i went to one lawyer and she wanted to charge $ 8000. Plus she did not want to answer anyΒ of my questions even their website said free consultation. Anytime i asked her question she was like bring the money then we will talk. therefore, i decided to do everything my own and learned from this forum.Β

i have another question for you guys...

Β

I escaped my abuser husband, but I haven’t divorced yet, I just left to where he can’t find me, and I tried not to think of how I am going to divorce him, because it took me a long time to be over the whole situation mentally...Β

now I am thinking of how I am going to divorce him, but my biggest fear is that I will have to see him again, and that he will find out where I live now...Β

Do you guys know how I can divorce without seeing him, or without him finding out my new place of living?Β

You can apply for a confidential address. If you’re using a lawyer just asked them about getting a confidential address or google it. When you fill out the form and mail it to the address indicated on the form it takes less than a week for you to get that address. I have a confidential address and that’s what I use on my divorce papers. When my ex sends the papers to my confidential address they then send them to my real address. IΒ Hope this helpsΒ

Good morning VJ Family, can someone who has file for FAFSA message me and if they can explain to me how to apply and is that going to have any affect on my VAWA application?

Β

Thank you.

Β

Answering to your last part of the question. It would not effect your Vawa application. If you go back few pages of this thread you will find the answer. Just last 5 to 6 pages.Β

You should hear pretty soon as we've seen up to June July and August 2018 approvals. No one can tell you when you will or if you will get an RFE? Best not to anticipate that. Most people don't get RFEs just straight to approval!πŸ‘
