Congrats @SUicidaL-3876l!!! How was the interview what kind of questions were asked. I’ve been wondering what will they be looking for?

The interview is a breeze. They just go over  what you already filled on those forms.

Hi there 👋 I came to visit my dad and about to go back in a couple days (jan 9th) I’m hoping not to have any trouble going back and entering U.S. with my Advanced Parole.  A couple people told me I should get a letter from the hospital about my dad’s surgery...as a supporting document. Do you think that’s necessary? Because if I do that I need to have that translated to English. Plus I will need to show my relationship status to my dad with another paperwork. Another translation etc.

Thank you all in advance 🙏

You just need the advance parole, nothing else .

Ok ... I understand it now .

should I still be in fear that he can cancel my green card now ?
I am still fearful on what he can do to jeopardize my immigration status ... can he do that ?
Any input would help ...

what can he really do to sabotage me further?

Your spouse cannot cancel your green card anymore .If you obtained the green card not though Vawa, your spouse had the opportunity to cancel the l130 now it’s too late.

Also guys I wanted to ask about priority dates. I know if you’re a spouse of a citizen there is none Only for PR spouses. Is a priority date something that makes your greencard interview faster?

Priority date is for those married to a green card holder. The priority date will determine when the person will have a visa number available to submit the l485.

I heard that uscis is not obligated to request new evidence anymore. I seen the respond of brazil lady who knows everthing about wawa.

Yes Uscis is not obligated to issue the RFE anime , it’s discretionary now.

It’s me the  Brazilian lady you are talking about, I assume.I am an immigration attorney Lol

Hello everyone, I'm going to file for VAWA next week. I just wanted to make sure that I have everything I need to file please let me know if I am missing anything.. here are what's included in the packet I will send:

- Completed I-360 Form

- Background Checks from the places I lived in in the past 3 years

- Personal statement

- Psychological evaluation

- 5 sworn affidavits from family and friends

- Copy of marriage license

- Proof of spouses' us citizenship (copy of his front page passport)

- Proof of bona fide marriage (photos, cards)

- Proof of abuse (photos, screen capture of emails and texts)

Also a little background:

My husband applied I-130 and I-485 for me. I went to the marriage-based AOS interview alone and the officer put my case on hold. I also came in using B2 visa on June 2018.

Thank you all

You need a copy of your marriage CERTIFICATE,not of the marriage license.Submit a copy of your birth certification and respective translation, and a copy of your passport  as well.If you were inspected when you entered here then submit a copy of your l94 as well.

I need some help,

it is so complicated to get the police clearance from my country so I started asking it back in 2018 just in case I would need it later, I have it but the date is 07/2018. Does the police clearance from my country expire? Even if I haven’t left U.S.A. since then and haven’t gone to my home country neither?

@sandranj

thanks in advance 🙏🏼🙏🏼

The police clearance is valid for  12 months from the day of issuance ok.

Do you guys think I should get police clearence of portland too ? or They will not ask that?

Thank you guys. I much appreciate it. My lawyer's reasoning is that the more is provided the more CIS will ask for and question. I feel like lawyer is causing me more pain than the case itself. My case has so much evidence of abuse but I don't know why it is not provided to CIS.

Another question: I am a male. Would you believe CIS treats male cases equally as female cases without sexism?

Thank you all again.

They will treat your case as a Vawa case, independent of gender .

Applied for vawa (I-360, I-485, I-765 and I-131) in Nov 2018. Did not submit a lot of documents and no affidavit. Received initial request for evidence to quality for prima facie  couple months after (in Jan 2019). 2 things requested to provide more evidence for were GOC and good faith marriage. USCIS phrases it "you are invited to provide".

Attorney is telling me to not care about initial request for evidence but wait for official RFE to provide more proof / documents.

What are your thoughts, community? I have a lot of proof but am told to wait until RFE and disregard initial request for evidence for prima facie (I will not be using public benefits even if have it).

Thank you very much and hope for feedback. God bless All!

Uscis is not obligated to issue RFE anymore, it’s discretionary now .Tell your attorney that she/he should read more often about  the U.S Immigration  Laws.

Okay, thanks for the information, can I do another divorce by myself because that one came from my ex wife

I’m a Nigerian too, and I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt that they probably discovered in the course of their investigation that your initial divorce documentation from Nigeria is not genuine. So to say that you are not legally divorced from your Nigerian wife. A lot of Nigerians have had their ### chewed over marriage and divorce fraud. You need to be honest about your divorce to get anything out of this.
