Hey ladies I have some messages on whatsapp that I want to add to my evidences, do I take screenshot? Or download message in txt format please?

I took screenshots while having my finger on scrolling - it reveals the date in a little bubble on top of the screenshot. I figured it'll be good to show the date in addition to my explanation.

No it's a translation mess
I do not want to apply for a study visa
I want to learn the further process of VAWA in my situation

Thank you.

Where in the process are you? I believe (not 100% sure) that you file the I-360 with Vermont first, and once the petition is approved it gets forwarded to NVC and they will reach out for the next step. But @sandranjcan probably advise better how filing from abroad works.

Things stay changing! Got mines in 2weeks back in 2017!☺ anyway so glad you got the document after that episode..thank God!🙏

I know, 4 weeks is nothing comparing to what we've been through. It is funny that i have to renew my EAD after a few months of receiving it. 8 moths left😃 but it isn't USCIS's fault.

Once your VAWA is approved, you apply fro green card through Counsular processing.

“Consular processing” is the procedure for obtaining legal permanent resident status for those who are not in the United States, and those who do not qualify to adjust status (obtain lawful permanent residency) within the United States. Applicants who fall into this category must apply for immigrant visas abroad at a U.S. consulate in their home country.

I think they stopped doing Infopass everywhere. It’s the Trump administration changes, to save $$. They think that all the information can be received by phone. In fact, it’s a disservice to customers as most of the time the first line customer reps know nothing and just read you the information on the screen. To get to a second -tier officer or supervisor is difficult, and USCIS rarely call back.

They do call back BUT you have to try several times...

It might be more a situation of USCIS leadership trying to become more "nimble" in its plodding responses.

Overall, USCIS seems to have attempted changes in many areas of its "response" operations.

Some will work; some won't; some will take time to work after bugs in the system are eliminated.

This has been true and frustrating for many years.

It always was, and it took persistence to ever make it happen at all.

Well, I'm seeing reports throughout the forums about people receiving callbacks.  It certainly won't be as rapidly as everyone would like, we can all agree.  This process requires the patience of Job (at least)!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hey beautiful people, I have another question, if I file i485 and I765 concurrently with my i360, will I receive i797c for the i485 and I765 few weeks later or not until vawa has been approved? Thanks.

You will definitely receive NOA and then C9 EAD way before your VAWA is approved! It is true the processing takes time..but it's certainly not as long as it takes for i360 to get approved!☺👍
