Hello Everyone if anyone knows about this case, help would be very appreciated.

Last month I applied to renew my expired EAD based on my marriage with my ex wife, and in the mean time I had my green card interview based on my old marriage, I went to the interview and the officer put my i485 on hold until VAWA gets approved, but he denied the my ex wife petition since we are no longer together. about a week ago they sent me back the package that I sent to Vermont to renew my EAD based on my marriage with a 2 letters attached. I realized that I was missing a signature, I corrected that, but they are saying in the letter that I have to include fees to renew my travel and work permit, I am confused because this renewal is based on C9 that I applied while I was still married.

I am a filer from August 2019 and to date I've received my work/travel card.

No. Simple agreed divorce will not affected your Vawa case, your divorce ground does not have to be base on domestic violence for your Vawa case to be approved. I am also in the process of the simple divorce agreement, my lawyer told me will not affected my Vawa approval..

Hello everyone.

A friend of mine went to her marriage based interview with her husband. She said the interview went great but the officer asked her for form i566 and i508 because she came here on diplomatic status 16 years ago, she was a minor then. Now the case went under review, they hired a lawyer today and the lawyer is saying that she will have a second and tougher interview after she submit these forms. Those anyone here knows if this is true.

hi when someone receives her EAD, does the message on the check status tool changes? I submitted my forms with C09 8 months ago and nothing changed ever since, no EAD or AP . no letters from them or anything, and the message in check status is the same

Divorce will not have any impact on your vawa case. Mine was simple divorce as well.

yea the status usually changes once your application has been approved. 8 months is quite a long time. Involve your congress person

I read about this before, I think you friend will not have a tougher or a second interview after she submits this two forms, because it seems to be she is a depended children of a diplomatic, but they will certainly need this two form in order to approve her adjustment of status, form I-566 is for the United State to obtain information to identify her,  and the person from whom her status was obtain I assume was her parents since she was a minor than, but her parents or whoever she obtain her diplomatic status from was or are working for foreign government mission in the United State their identify some how is protected. Diplomatic who are in the United State have certain privilege and immunity like not paying taxes,  some policy about their identity safeness etc.. Form I-508 is to waive this privilege and to be  able to adjust and change her status to regular lawful permanent residence who paid taxes and is under United State regulations. The lawyer may put it more complicated thinking she is the principal applicant of the diplomatic status when she is not....

Other can give more information on these too...
