Good morning all.. I have a little dilemma.. when I initially filed my vawa it was with Catholic charities back in Louisville KY.. the attorney that files it has since resigned and I've since moved.. they no longer represent me.. I've since place in a change of address with VSC.. here's where the issue is .. VSC is still sending my mail to them ... Is there anyway I can get them to stop sending it there and send straight to me .. because of this it's been delaying the arrival of my letters and notification to me and to get in touch with the immigration attorney at Catholic charities take up to 2 days to even have them check and see.. then I have to wait on top of that up to 1 and a half to 2 weeks to get it.. I really need to find a solution to this .. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance..

You need to send a notarized letter to USCIS stating that they do not represent you anymore, and they should inform the USCIS as well.

Dear All. Hope you are all doing well dear friends!

a question: if I-360 is denied - can one file motion to reconsider using B290 form or else? Can one renew EAD in a case of pending 290B? Will I-485 get denied if I-360 is denied but B290 is filed? What is the difference between appeal and motion to reconsider and are these same form? And last - what is the success rate of appeals and motions to reconsider?

sorry for so my questions but hope you know.

Do not waste your time filing an appeal or motion to reconsider, refile a new I-360. The motion you request to the USCIS to reconsider the decision, there are 3 kind of motions,  and the Appeal  you request the BIA  to review the USCIS decision.

Hello everyone, good morning, I recently contacted my congressman to know the status of my I-485 hence my I-360 was approved since April 2019 and I have been waiting to be contacted for my interview, my congressman just updated me yesterday that my case is pending Security Check, they stated they don’t have a particular timeline as to how long it normally takes for them to get the report, please I would like to know if anyone has an idea on how long it normally takes and is there any possible way to contact USCIS to push them on this? Your response will be highly appreciated.

Good Morning Everyone

I have been a silent reader for a long time. Will really appreciate everyone input on this. My i360 got Approved Jan 4th 2019. My field office is Queens N.Y. I contacted the Congressman office since mid January and until now no response. Does it take that long? I did an online inquiry through the website, in less than a week I got a reply stating that the cannot disclose any information. I asked my Lawyer to inquire on my behave since January, he said because of the holidays, let's give them until the end of February, went there yesterday to apply for my EAD, when i asked him about the inquiry, i felt he literally throw me out of his office. Cut me off before I finish and said in a not friendly voice, I didnt get a response yet. I got the feeling, he didn't even do the inquiry. I feel like I am drowning and NO one helping me. I applied i360, i485 since April 3rd, 2017. This Forum has been my rock.

N.Y. is really taking a long time..but in your case you should have gotten your interview notice. They move our files around alot..are you sure it's in the queens office? There's someone here that we've been chatting for a while she swore her case was in Queens office..and due to the length of time It's taken so far I told her it could be in the Brooklyn field office..of course they're all in the same building..but different jurisdictions. Only recently she confirmed I was right! Anyway your lawyer obviously isn't being much of a help..so keep pushing your congressperson..the way mine works..if USCIS doesn't respond within 30days..they send a reminder/fresh enquiry!👍

Several threads back, one of us took their sweet time explaining what security checks are as it relates to USCIS..and why some people seem stuck in that phase and not others..of course everyone undergoes it..just that it goes through quickly for most people, while others get stuck. Anyway..what I'm trying to say is that truly, it could take a while or not..USCIS cannot hasten it up.No one knows when it will be done. Let's just pray with you it doesn't delay you.🙏 You've been patient and strong up until this time..hold on strong and before you know it, your interview notice will be sent!☺👍

Thank you Stillwinning. Honestly I don't know where my file is. That's why I am pushing my lawyer and congressman to find out. I will go again to the office.
