Hey, everyone. Long time!! I’m going to share my timeline again so far. Applied for I360,765, AOS and GC all together. It was exactly one year ago in 01/19. 02/19 I received PF, then shortly after I received C9 work authorization 06/19.
I know my EAD is expiring in 06/20. I would like to know if it’s better to renew it perhaps in February? I’m not sure how long it takes

also, prima facie expires in February. When should I apply for a new one?

and most importantly, I’m in the process of getting a divorce from my USC abuser, we’ve been legally married for over 3 years. If my VAWA was approved and I receive my greencard, can I apply for citizenship automatically since I was married to a USC? Or how long after having GC thru vawa must I wait to file for citizenship if the first method isn’t available to me.

You need to be  a green card holder for at least 3 years, because your ex spouse is a U.S Citizen, to apply for Naturalization.

Ask VSC to renew the prima facie if you need to use to apply for public benefits.

Thanks so much. I didn’t want to wait until 180 days to reapply because I cannot afford to have a lapse. But I will reapply for the prima facie asap. Thank you

You JUST can file the renewal application up to 180 days. They will return form I-765 if you file now.

I received a RFE today and I am really confused, the list is much as if my attorney never submitted anything..

Evidence that I was married to my abuser

Evidence that my abuser is a citizen

Evidence that I am eligible for this classification ( I don't know what this means)

Evidence that we resided together

Evidence of suffered battery or extreme cruelty

Evidence of good moral character

Evidence of good faith marriage.

Has anyone ever received RFE as much as this?

I need your help pls

It sounds like the only thing they have on your case is that form I360 without any supporting documents. Tell your attorney to resubmit all your initial documentation, hopefully he made copies of everything. Good luck

WOW! How dumb can your attorney be? That is if truly all these were asked, and not just the boxes ticked!💁 check again to see if specific boxes where marked..if not it means your attorney needs to be schooled on VAWA!!! Your attorney basically left out important documents showing you qualify for i360 and the supporting documents to go with it! Just WOW!!! Anyway time to get to work..YOUR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, SPOUSE BIRTH CERTIFICATE,BILLS AND LETTERS IN BOTH/EITHER YOUR NAMES AT SAME ADDRESS, POLICE REPORTS/PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION, AFFIDAVITS FROM WITNESSES ATTESTING YOU WERE ABUSED. POLICE CLEARANCE FROM YOUR RESIDENCE FOR THE LAST 3YRS, CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN YOU AND SPOUSE BEFORE/AFTER MARRIAGE..friends and family can also write to attest of the relationship. I sincerely hope this helps. Goodluck.🙏

Now you're talking..that's all that's needed! You scared us with all that list!😀 Thank God it's easy! Get your police clearance from where you have lived in the past 3yrs..Get letters too from friends and family to prove you're a person of good conduct! You'll be fine!

Ha! thank you so much. I was scared when I saw the list. I don't know much about VAWA, I'm so glad I found this forum.

Thanks once again
