Hi guys, Im new here. Thanks for sharing and helping people. I applied for vawa 18 months ago, I have EAD combo and I want to visit my dad because he is sick but I entered the country illegally. You guys think will be a problem? Any one here facing same problem? Any one already traveled on that situation?

Please wait for sound advice here..but I remember comments here about VAWA petitioners not affected by your peculiar situation.(waiver) that said..I will think it will be more safer when the i360 has been approved and Greencard in hand...not certain but logically thinking...I wouldn't want you to travel and not be able to get back in...like I said wait for people who have gone through that to give you advice!👍

Don’t do it...ask an attorney or 2.
people who have overstayed have safely travelled with AP, illegal entry is a whole other world!
I am so sorry to hear about your dad, I cannot imagine what you may be feeling, but think about it, you being there is not going to cure your dad, he might even stress out more seeing you at risk.
keeping you and your family in my prayers🙏🏼

I advise you not to travel because you entered without inspection here then you might have a problem to reenter.

Hi everyone...

I need some advice...I’m a July 2018 filer. Receipt date is 7/2/2018. So it’s been almost 18 months. I’ve received 2 Prima Facia so far.

My question is about going to visit my family. My dad is about to have a surgery with cancer on his lungs. I have Advanced Parole valid until May 2020. I’m thinking about going for a week and coming back but since my 18 months wait is almost over I can’t decide if it would be safe for me. Meaning if USCIS decides about my case/sends RFE when I’m out of country. Of course it may take longer but according to the processing times they publish they are likely to make a decision in January as far as I know.

What do you guys think?

You will be fine, if they issue an RFE usually you have 84 days to answer, and in case of denial they still give 30 days to appeal or file a motion.

thank you so much for the advice. i know i should be more patient but if they don't schedule my interview this winter then i will have regretted that i didn't go to my country;( it says that it can take up to 21 months! how can i be sure :(

Go to your Country  and ask someone to check your mail box and if they schedule the interview just return to the U.S.

hi everyone, brand new member here and here comes my question;

my case was approved on january 3rd, 2019 after submitting rfe and currently waiting to be scheduled for the interview.

my advance parole is expiring on march 18, 2020. how soon do you think i can be scheduled? i wanna visit my country with my ap and thinking if they schedule me i can

come back before the interview. is it safe to do that? thanks.

p.s. it says current processing time is between 10.5 to 21.5 months for vermont center.

Yes you should go and if they schedule the interview just come back to the U.S.

I applied for adjustment of status through VAWA almost exactly 2 years ago now. I filed I-485, I-360 and I-765 all at the same time. The fees were waived and I have received a prima facie every 3 months. In September they requested more evidence which I promptly provided.

I checked my case status today and finally it has been updated but I'm confused as to what it means. When checking the numbers they now state the following:

I-485 - Fees waived (this one has not updated)

I-360 - I 360 Card has been sent in the mail (what card are they referring to)

I-765 - Case denied (does this mean all my application has been denied?)

Anyone who knows more about what these mean, please let me know!! Thanks!!

Regarding the I-360 probably they sent you the work permit category 31 and it means they approved your case.

Folks  I need your prayers, I just came back from the hospital after spending 4 hours there, I have a BIG kidney stone (8mm)and then I need a procedure called "lithotripsy" to break up the stone.I have a surgery coming up on December 26 for a different thing and now this stone that I will need another procedure. I am doing some cases for visa journey members (without any charge) and I need to feel well to finish these cases soon.

You will be fine. I had a friend who went through that procedure. They give you shockwaves and break the stone to pass out easily. Technology is very advance now. Drink a lot of water. Hope you feel better. Our prayers are with you.

You’re in my prayers. May God guide and protect you during your surgery. May you come out of surgery in better health than you went in. I will be praying for you
