I filed i360 & I485 concurrently on December 2017. I-360 was approved August 2019. I’m located in Houston Texas. I-485 Case was received at my local office Do I need to wait another 24 months for them to process the I-485 after August’s approval? Or should they have processed it already since my priority date has passed a while back.

And what does it mean that the I-485 was transferred to the local office? Does it mean all the name checks and background checks and all requirements were met and I’m just in line for an interview? Or should I expect to wait a while till they process everything?

Transferred to local office....waiting in line for an interview. Check the USCIS processing times for your local office...you won't need to wait 24months. Perhaps a few more months depending on when it was transferred and speed of processing at the field office.👍 it's coming.

@balo101 I was notified when my case got transferred from NBC to Vermont. Most folks here got notifications as well about the EAD transfer. I'm talking about those of us who filed to NBC instead of Vermont. Although it takes time..it will still be processed. It took a while but I eventually got approved and the EAD is valid for a whole year.👍

It depends on the  workload of each local office.

@sandranj Thank you. Can it go sooner than "average" wait time as my local office has 2 years of wait time and I filled 360 and 485 form concurrently. Understood that time can start ticking once Vermont let local office know to schedule an interview.

The case processing time is 10.5 to 23.5 months. I filed concurrently on Dec 2017, Case was transferred Aug 2019. Does the clock tick from transfer date or initial filing date?

I believe from transfer! I485 is usually on hold until i360 approval. Then comes the transfer..awaiting a slot for interview. That's when the clock starts ticking.👍

hi family,

My EAD application is pending since july last year. That was based on i-130 pending. At the end of last year i filled VAWA and last month i had interview based on i-130 which was denied since i no longer live with my abuse spouse. I believe my i-485 still pending.

Today i called uscis regrading my i-765 pending. the agent told me she can not give me information about i-765. i have to contact Vermont service center. even though i sent the application to national benefit center. What should i do? Any advise?

what happening with me.

They will not inform you about your I-765 anymore. Ask your congress person to inquire on your behalf.

Usually it will take the time the USCIS  is  showing on the website.

@balo101 our case is very similar. My EAD is pending (well they've given me 180 days extension letter twice now). Please follow Sandra's advice cos USCIS said the same to me when I called. My congresswoman responded tonight with my enquiry that she has contacted USCIS and will get back to me as soon as they respond.

You said you "believe your I485 is pending". There's no "believe" there. You need to be sure it's still open. Check online to ascertain.

Hi community congratulations to all folks who  got their approval and prayers for the one still waiting .head up I checked my status online and found out that they sent approval letter Friday. I need your prayers because my case is complicated.I am in removal procedure with immigration court since 2008. I applied for asylum  and during my individual hearing the judge let me know that he will denying the case that’s when my lawyer told him about my marriage abuse. The judge than said he is not gonna make a decision till I file the VAWA. Once I got prima facie my lawyer wrote a motion continuance  to the court. The judge put my case in docket.

Now my lawyer said the government lawyer unlikely will accept an administrative closure.

question did anyone go through similar situation

what can I expect ? And how long it will take to adjust the status? How are my chances for a relief?

its really a nightmare since 2008 all my life on hold for too long
