It offers some benefits you could hold on to before your case is decided. You can get FAFSA- incase you need to go to college like you stated, Medicaid, foodstamps, etc. So basically 👇

Public Benefits (cash aid, food stamps and medical insurance): Some states, including California, provide medical insurance, job development benefits, cash aid and food stamps to U Visa and VAWA applicants. If you are in a family with children and low-income, you may be eligible to get CalWORKS and full-scope Medi-Cal.

Thank you @Stillwinning!!!😊

Surely not with expired EAD..but the extension which extends the validity of the EAD pending when the actual EAD is processed and sent.👍

I'm confused with the varied responses

@Still winning. If you remember I renewed before the expired EAD, they sent the 180 days letter which elapsed Dec 19. Waited for a new card - nothing arrived. Applied again in oct 19, they sent the 180 days letter in Nov - no card

Lost my job during abuse. Now I'm mentally stable enough to work. Can I use the documents at hand to get a job?

P.s I've contacted congresswoman and she sent a release form which I've filed but havent heard from her.

I'm sick and tired of doing lyft and uber. Will the documents I have be tenable enough to get a job?

According to you..you are in possession of a valid EAD extension. If this is the case you can present the EAD and extension to your prospective employer and explain the letter extends the validity of the EAD. Start job hunting. If you don't like what you do, find something else. So many choices out there my dear!💁

hi family,

My EAD application is pending since july last year. That was based on i-130 pending. At the end of last year i filled VAWA and last month i had interview based on i-130 which was denied since i no longer live with my abuse spouse. I believe my i-485 still pending.

Today i called uscis regrading my i-765 pending. the agent told me she can not give me information about i-765. i have to contact Vermont service center. even though i sent the application to national benefit center. What should i do? Any advise?

what happening with me.

@balo101 hello dear sorry if I say this , but ur questions are been repeated .. this is why u get no response sometimes... your i765 was suppose to be sent to VSC not National benefit Center , they are gonna transfer from National benefit center to VSC by themself but it’s gonna take time , if I were u I would wait or I would file another i765 and send to VSC .. pls note that u can not get any info on ur vawa case by calling USCIS numbers , this is for ur own protection and ur case protection from someone opposing it.. stay close to this site and read all what is going on here so that when it gets to ur turn u would have already Understood it becos u read it here already... i130form is ur spouse petition for you and since u no longer have a spouse and ur spouse didn’t go to interview with you automatically ur i130 would be denied and ur i360 vawa   would replace ur spouse i130/his or her petition... my Advice is that u wait for them to transfer ur i765 and i131 from National benefit center to Vermont service center themselves , if u can’t wait, kindly file another i765 and i131 form to Vermont service center and as soon as u get the receipt u can write a letter to withdraw the one u sent to National benefit center ... life is not that difficult my dear...stay close to this trend and read everyday it’s the way forward for u... the simple truth is that u need to refile your i765 form and i131form again and pls send it to Vermont now ... ur spouse application is expired it’s only the i485 that can still be of use cos it’s pending becos of i360 vawa u filed....

thank you Modu for the reply. I know i sometime do not think what i am written due to frustration.

my only concern was that initially it was sent to right place since i had i-130 pending last year. would USCIS notify me if they transfer my case.

@balo101 they may not notify you and it may really take a long time... so kindly refile this real quick .. refile ur i765Form EAD  and i130 form for Advance parol , make sure you pay ur filling fees don’t apply for fees wavier it works but sometimes slows everything down  ... kindly send it to Vermont service center make sure u add ur i485 receipt notice and ur i360 vawa receipt noice to it and all other thing u need to add for refilling a EAD/AP ...
