Someone explained to me that when your VAWA is approved they send you the C31 EAD only (Without travel permit). You can only apply for the travel permit when your Adjustment of Status (I-485) starts processing. I'm waiting to receive the VAWA Approval Notice letter and I'll send the I-485 plus the I-131 - I'm almost two years without traveling and I miss my family :(

Yeah I know how it is. Hopefully you can see them soon.

So this means I can’t send an AP request to Vermont now? After receiving c31EAD are we supposed to send the AP request to local office instead of Vermont?

I have my AP valid until May but my dad is getting cancer treatment and I have to be ready for any circumstance.

Another question...is it ok to leave US while having a pending AOS after receiving c31 EAD

Good afternoon VJ Family i want to apologies in advance for the stupid question but if someone can tell me if you have a approved I-360 and my work permit is going to expire do i have to file for a renewal or it will be renewed automatically ?

Thank you. and do we still have that option that if you file for a new work permit in advance you have those 6 monts that you can still work after the exp date until you wait for the new card to arrive?

It won't be renewed automatically. So you have to do that ASAP. I believe there's a payment for C31 renewal.👍

Hi everyone  I have a question

My friend had vawa case and she got green card 2017.
After , 2018 she married another country, her husband’s has tourists visa B1B2 category. They arrived in USA together after married and they live in NY. They sent all documents and paid 1225$ . He has his receipt number. He got fingerprint in September. Her question is
will they have interview? Because she is a green card holder she is not citizen yet, she also sent papers for citizen and she got fingerprint in November and it’s processing.

Any advice is important 🙏sorry for my English, I work hard for that 🥰

The problem is not the interview the problem he is not eligible to adjust status in the United States, I-485 will be denied do to unlawful presence inadmissibility. Unless she became a US Citizen before I-485 interview, and NYC is taking the longest time... or he apply for provisional unlawful presence waivers I-601A and gets approve than he needs to travel back to his country to have the interview at US consulate over there.

LPR Spouse can only Adjust if they maintain a lawful status while their I-485 is pending and a visa becomes available. Or under the 245i law.

He violate his B1/B2 authorized stay in US...
