Like 1 month after vawa approval. But my case was transferred in November. So far it says that San Antonio, tx has the shortest amount of waiting time 6-12 months so far, but Idk how long it will take them to send the interview notice.😿

6months for you should be what...May? Relax..it's coming.😊

In the uscis webpage in my case the i485 says below that "We will assign your case to an officer.   We will review your case and mail you our decision. If we need more information, we will notify you. " So if I got my courtesy letter and the letter said they did an initial review. Does this means my case has already been assign with an officer? I called once and they said my case was on the nbc but then another person said its on vermont but my case was transferred since November 😳 it's all confusing.

Your case is with the local office.

Hello everybody.

Today they passed the public charge law (DHS Obtains Another Judicial Victory on Implementing Public Charge Inadmissibility Rule).

Although I have been reading on the subject on the official USCIS website, it is not clear to me if this new law of inadmissibility due to public charge affects the petitioners of the green card through Vawa (I-360), I mean, I want to know if Vawa's petitioners are exempt from being considered public charge when applying for the green card (I-485).

I appreciate your opinion, including Sandra's opinion.

Thank you so much for your help!

VAWA petitioners are exempt from the public charge ground ok.

Dear friends

I got a speeding ticket 2 days before which is 250 dollars you think I have to pay the same And if I pay it will be on my record and will create problem for me during the green card interview.

need some advices feeling pressure

If you were not arrested then you are good. Minor traffic citations WITH NO ARREST is not a problem with the USCIS.

I file Vawa Oct 2017 and got approval and C31 June 28' 2019 and I485 Transferred June 28' 2019 to NBC it is now 7 months and no Interview...why is my case taking so long for interview. .I485 was file Dec 18' 2018..

Your I-485  was transferred to NBC in June 2019, probably the case was shipped to the local office  in July 2019. CT is taking long time to schedule the AOS interview 9/12 months. I  have AOS in CT waiting 11 months, then you still have to wait a bit more.

Hi everyone!

I had my VAWA approved on Jan 16th, and receive my EAD Card on Jan 25th - I notice that they send me an employment authorization card only, and I also applied for the Advance Parole (I-131). What should I do? Should I send the I-131 form again asking them to update my current EAD card?

Also, they didn't send me any notice of approval of my VAWA. Can I apply for the Green Card without this notice? Should I send the I-485 Form to Vermont or the National Benefits Center?

Thank you

Contact your congress person to solve both problems (AP and approval), you need the approval letter ok.

Quick question.

My wife is again texting me apology texts. I am not replying her but what should I do ?

I just found out through one friend that she is facing problems and she is also showing remorse of her past actions. Should I talk to her ? Should I meet her? I am not sure what I should do ? We are not divorced yet.

You are wasting your time if your wife is indeed an abusive person. Talk without the support of action means nothing. How did  she show you that she changed? just because she told her friends is not enough, you need way more than this to reconcile.

Why do you want to reconcile with someone who doesn't love you? because it's clear that your spouse doesn't love you. Yeah she feels '"remoserful" because she needs you to pay her bills.
