Hoping we hear something soon too! I submitted my stepdaughters papers on 11/7/19 and haven't heard anything yet.  It will be one month tomorrow :cry:I think I'm more impatient than she is lol.  Also, don't worry about getting denied cause of the I-129F.  You're all good!

Here's a blurb from USCIS.gov for the I-129F:

I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e)

Use this to petition to bring your fiancé(e) (K-1) and their children (K-2) to the U.S. so you may marry your fiancé(e), or to bring your spouse (K-3) and their children (K-4) to the U.S. to apply for lawful permanent resident status.

Hi everyone...

I submitted all my documents on the CEAC website on 11/26/19 then added additional documents on 12/4/19 (not required). When do you think I will hear from the NVC again?

Hi @Sea Leslie so to answer your question.. It depends on the Country I think..I submitted all my required documents on 10/4/19, it was accepted, on 10/7/19 I got a Message on the CEAC website saying that all my documents I submitted has been approved.. On 10/8/19 I received an email saying “Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified”.  This is what you should receive if NVC approved all ur required documents... at this point u just wait until the Embassy schedules for an Interview Date... I waited about a month, then my Interview letter came.. 11/12/19 I received my Interview letter telling me my scheduled interview at the Embassy.. They usually schedule interviews a month out... This was my timeline after all documents were accepted... Good luck to you and everyone else that’s in this same boat!!!!

NVC says they are reviewing applications sent on Oct 11 on December 4.

So currently 7-8 weeks. That’s around mid-January for you. Anything before that is fortunate. I think getting your hopes up for anything less than that is going to be a recipe for being miserable.

I129f is a k visa, it’s not fraud to apply for a spouse k3 visa!

I think you need to check your information before making accusations

Thanks for the info... I believe you are right, it does depend on the country. I have seen some VJ members approved days after submitting documents. It's just so puzzling... :bonk:

As soon as I get more news, I will definitely let everyone know. I have gotten this far, I just need to continue to be more patient.

Yes, I applied for the I-129F spousal not the fiance.

I129f is not only for fiancés. Look carefully at the form. It is for spouses (K3 visa; 129f PLUS I130 petition) as well. No immigration fraud was committed at all. She petitioned an I130 first, and then an I129f for a spouse afterwards along with the evidence required for an I129f K3 petition. However, the K3 is dead, so the I130 was approved, and the I129f denied as the K3 is no longer needed if the I130 is approved. Please do research before accusing people of immigration fraud

I know K3 is dead. I am talking about fiance visa I-129F. What I am saying is - it is fraud if you use fiance visa instead of spouse visa just because the process is faster.

She did not use a fiance visa. She petitioned an I130 for a CR1, then filed an accompanying I129f for a K3, a spouse visa. Since the K3 is dead, her I130 was approved and the accompanying I129f was denied on the basis of the I130 being approved. A K3 is for using to reside in the US while waiting for the I130 to be approved, so since the I130 was approved, the K3 was no longer needed, therefore the I129f was denied. She did not petition for a fiance visa at all, all spousal.

For us, it was two weeks after documents were all submitted that they were reviewed and approved by NVC, to documentarily qualified or "case complete" and the file sent to the consulate or embassy abroad (Department of State).  That's if all goes well with the NVC document approval process.  They are notoriously  picky about the way documents are uploaded to the CEAC site, and of course, everything required has to be there.  Three weeks after case complete we received the email from the consulate abroad, with the interview date, which was scheduled for three weeks later.  So in our case it was about  8 weeks from all NVC documents submitted and fees paid until the visa interview.  There will be some delays because of the upcoming holidays, and also some locations are backed up for interviews so that could add more time as well.  Good luck with the interview!  You're almost there, soon you'll be together every day and that makes all the waiting worth it.

@Marylander read the above red lettering. Notice the word "OR"? She was able to use this for her "SPOUSE" . You need to research things better before commenting.  You could've thrown this poor girl into a panic attack if she had not been confident in what she did.  Thing whole process is nerve wrecking in itself without having added stress thrown in.
