My wife is missing her Tdap and Influenza shots. Everything else on her DS-3025 is either not age appropriate or shes has a history. My question is can she just get these vaccinations at Walgreens and I show a civil surgeon this documentation for them to complete her i-693 vaccine transcription or do they have to administer the vaccine? please help. Thank you

We got our vaccinations at our PCPs office and took the proof to the civil surgeon  appointment.

You are talking about for AOS from K-1? You can get the shots wherever you want or not get the at all so long as you file in the validity period of the K-1 medical exam which I believe is 1 year. No need to worry about any medical forms for filing AOS.

Completed medical AND vaccinations are required to get the green card.   OP did the medical overseas but doesn't have the completed vaccinations.  They need to worry eventually

YMMV

My wife didn't have complete vaccinations, but got her GC no issue. Her Tdap was marked insufficient interval or whatever it says and no flu shot because it was not the correct time of year. We did finish her shots but never submitted any type of documentation of it. Are we talking about some situation different than this?

There is a difference between not having a vaccinations (missing) compared to not completing a series of shots (i.e. insufficient interval)

YMMV

Would it not be out of the ordinary to go through the K-1 medical and not get the shots you needed? I took him to mean she hadn't finished the shots as most people who ask this question mean. I guess they would have marked the "K visa applicant electing not to be vaccinated at this examination" box. If that's the case you can get the vaccinations where you like but still need the civil surgeon to do the 693 and charge you a good old American healthcare fee for the privilege.

Tdap is not a series.

Since a  k1 doesn't require vaccinations and people sometimes decide to not get vaccinated for various reasons such as cost, not realizing the hassle they put themselves in by doing this

YMMV

True. Td is a series with the first dose being Tdap and the 2nd 2 can be Tdap is Td is unavailable. I could see someone declining the vaccines not realizing it is going to bite them later.

Tdap is a series for an infant but then it is merely a booster every 10 years

YMMV

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5753a6.htm#:~:targetText=A primary series for adults, the 3-dose primary series.

A primary series for adults is 3 doses of tetanus and diphtheria toxoid--containing vaccines; administer the first 2 doses at least 4 weeks apart and the third dose 6--12 months after the second. However, Tdap can substitute for any one of the doses of Td in the 3-dose primary series

The vaccines were not available at the time she was told. She did not decline any vaccines. During the time of her medical exam it was not flu season. Would she need to get a flu shot now since it is flu season? There is a letter D in the area for influenza and Tdap. The legend states that D stands for "not routinely available". Her form DS-3025 has been checked off at the bottom stating that she voluntarily received her vaccinations. I called two civil surgeons and one said they don't just sign off on vaccinations and need to do a complete exam. The other doc wants $250 just to see him and I was told that they will determine what she needs. they didn't even want to answer if she was able to receive vaccinations say at Walgreens. They said to come see him first and they will tell her where to go. I'm guessing that's the good old American health Care fee. Do I need to complete the i-693 before filing adjustment of status I have about a little under a month left before her k1 Visa expires. Were married though. Will I receive a request for evidence or would be requested at her interview if I don't submit i-693? Thanks to those who have replied.

If the ds3025 is marked complete then you should stop worrying

YMMV

Yes, the form is checked of "k visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirments". She did receive atleast 1 shot at the visit. But what concerns me is the "not routinely available" mark for the Tdap and influenza. Im not exactly sure what not routinely available means, but from what I understand the vaccine is required and there's no record of it. So would you guys recommend that form I-693 is not necessary and submit a copy of the ds-3025 as is?
