Both "newsworthy" events and "shootings" happen all the time though. I don't see the connection.

I’m not a huge conspiracy theorist, but there are theories that the Vegas shooter did not act alone (which I believe with 100% certainty) and that it was detracting from other events at the time (which I cannot recall).  And now the two navy shootings during impeachment hearings.  It’s always something.

The hearings started September 24th, it's been 2 months and change (10 weeks).

 

In that time:

 

- This shooting (11 people shot at the Pensacola FL naval air station)

- 10 people were shot in New Orleans almost a week ago

- 10 people were shot in Fresno 2 weeks ago

- 5 people were shot at a Santa Clarita high school (Saugus) 3 weeks ago

- 9 people were shot at an Airbnb house party in Orinda (CA) on Halloween 5 weeks ago

 

Regarding these things being connected, I'm going with the odds of:
