Hello, my case is a bit complicated. Me and my spouse dont live together due to his work and my schooling that is keeping us apart. I have updated my address with USCIS a long time ago. We filed the i751 together jointly recently but now our relationship is hitting a very rough patch. We agreed to do a trial separation for a little while to see how we will react and really feel about each other. My question is, if my interview appointment comes up and we have not yet resolved the problems what should I do, should we go to the interview and confess to the officer that we are doing a trial separation? Our marriage is very bonafide but given that we dont live together and the current hard situation im not sure what to do given we might reconcile our differences after some time apart. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Ecuador

No timeline to know when you applied for this and how soon interview could happen

many of the VJ'ers who went thru the process could best help you if they knew the dates

you could be back together by time of the interview

so,   let them know

and best to you

you already filed for I-751 so whatever evidence and explanations you included there is already submitted I don't think there is anything you can do now but to wait for their decisions , If they need more evidence or if they ask you to come for an interview.  unless you decide to get a divorce now then it's a different story. Not an expert here just sharing my opinion
