I-134 - Annual Income

Hey

 

our case is hopefully arriving at the embassy in Frankfurt in a few days and we’re getting ready to send the I-134. 

 

The problem is now that my Fiancé is still in college and works in valet for a hotel. His dad is our co-sponser and he’s making enough money to support me. The problem is now that my Fiancé has to fill in a I-134 too and we don’t know what to put into the box of the annual yearly income, because he’s not getting the same money every month he’s just getting paid when he’s working.

 

He‘s not working a full year yet so we can’t look on his Tax Transcripts. Should we just count the money that he made by his paystubs in 2019 or what should we write in there?

They are looking for a yearly salary or earnings. That includes tax transcripts  for 2018. Include his pay stubs for 2019.

 

          
EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form 1-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should ALSO be presented (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form 1-134. Both, the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, value of properties, etc.). So does that mean I should just put there the money from his W2’s from 2018 even when he only worked at the job he’s working now for a few months and for another job too?

You must give the CO the means in which to determine if the petitioner can or CANNOT support you. So tax transcripts and W-2's are the vehicle in which this is done whether the petitioner worked one day in the tax year or every single day.

We have all of this with our I-134 Form but what do I exactly put in the box in the I-134  with the annual income?

Do I put in every payment from his job that he got in 2019 or the W2 from 2018 from his current job or the Tax Transcript from 2018 where he worked for 2 different Jobs?

W-2 from 2018 and 2019 (2019 only if you have one for the interview). TT from 2018.
