Hi everyone, just a quick question and please I need every advice I can get from you all.
After moving to the US in May of 2018, I spent about 3 months here with my wife however, I had to travel back to my country for about 3 months to complete a contract before moving in permanently. Now the question is, do I need to include documents about my travel in my packet?

Do I get any response please.

I don’t think you need to include that. Was your wife with you? Seems like she wasn’t. As long as you are married and have proves of that you don’t need to include a document for every day that you were apart due to work 😊

I heard 2 things:

1) cases get transferred there just to reduce the backlog of other SCs

2) cases get transferred there if they intend to conduct the interview; however, they just have received your case, how can they possibly determine the necessity for the interview at this stage? unless in the system they have a mark of some sort, indicating from AOS filing that they want you to come back for the interview.

I don't think you need to worry. I think it is just a backlog reduction

I am a CR-1 case and read in the MSC processing times thread that a lot of CR-1 cases have been sent there. That probably would suggest an interview? Are you CR-1 or a different category?

I am a CR-1 as well. I think most, if not all, cases that are sent to the MSC end up having an interview. It seems that the MSC is a bit faster overall though? Maybe it's just me being hopeful.

Weird, i am an CR-6 and i would expect those types to be going for interviews way more than CR-1. I would expect CR-1 not needing the interview when ROC at all

How so? Cr 6 are the ones who had no status at some point and then had to adjust it through marriage. Wouldn’t CR6 seem to cause more suspicion?

no really. There is no such thing as more suspicious. Most of CR6 adjust from F/J/H and such Visa from inside the U.S.

Most of CR1 get interviews because their interviews were waived. Almost all CR6 had interviews.

The idea of interview or not is really random, but almost always, if you never been interviews through AOS, you more like to get an interview during ROC. Per USCIS memo, interviews are based on evidence, and either or not you been interviewed before.
