I saw a post in the K-1 forum asking about dates on the NOA2. I was a little confused at first because I received a letter from NVC and there were no dates on it ( except for the date it was sent). For a couple of weeks now I thought this was a NOA2. I now read that an NOA2 looks similiar to the NOA1. I asked the same question in the OP's post, but I thought I should ask it here because more people here are further along in the process.

I just read another post where the author mentioned not receiving a NOA2 but received something from NVC. (He and I are both CSC) Nothing else was mentioned after that.

Anyway, I received a letter from NVC with a case # and stating our petition has been approved and is being sent to the consulate. I suppose this is a common letter we all receive. But, is it common to receive this before receiving an NOA2??? I just checked with the USCIS website and it says our case is still pending..?? I also just read that I need the NOA2 later for AOS.. if this was not the case I wouldn't worry about the situation as much. I tried to email them through the "contact us" button on their website. Said "page not found" I have a number, but hate calling because of being put on hold forever. Anyone have an e-mail address for CSC? Anyone hear of or been in a similiar situation??? Thanks

Call the Customer Service number at (800) 375 – 5283

1 -- For English (someone should probably do Spanish too... maybe tomorrow)

2 -- Skip Intro

2 -- Pending petition

6 -- Check Status

2 -- Cant find Receipt Number

4 -- More Information

The uscis website still lists your case as pending b/c it's not been updating itself properly as of late. I got my NOA2 a month ago now and i'm still listed as pending.

Yes, NOA2 looks almost exactly like NOA1 except instead of your status as pending, it'll say approved

you should call and find out if it was sent. Give it a couple days first, but then definitely call if it's more than 10 days or so..

I received the NVC letter dated 21 May. So its been about 20 days. I think our last touch on the USCIS website was either the 5th or 9th. I know I SHOULD call. Does anyone have experience with the wait times when calling? liz legend at least you did receive your Noa2 despite the website saying it is pending. Thanks for the #.....

I know, but a lot of people in the last month I've noticed haven't received them... just remember you'll have to be calling from the US or use a program like skype if you're outside the states.

or get your fiance to call.

my fiance called once and he was on hold for like 10 mins or less
