NESSA- IN JAMAICA THEY TAKE THE PASSPORT AT THE INTERVIEW, STAMP IT WITH THE VISA, THEN SEND IT TO YOU THRU AIRPAK, SUPPOSEDLY WITHIN A FEW DAYS.

JULY 2005 - WE MET

APRIL 25, 2006- I29F SENT

MAY 5, 2006 - RFE RECEIVED

AUG 3, 2006 - RFE2 RECEIVED

AUG 8, 2006 - SENT RFE BACK TO NVC

SEPT 29, 2006 - NOA 2 RECEIVED (APPROVED)

SEPT 2006 - WAITING FOR NEXT STEP

OCT 24, 2006- STILL WAITING.............

C'MON YOU GUYS, A CHRISTMAS INTERVIEW WOULD BE NICE.....

NOV 1, 2006 - SEAN RECEIVED PACKET #3 (THANK GOD FOR MAIL...EVEN SNAIL MAIL)

NOV 15 2006- PREPARING TO TURN IN DS230 IN KINGSTON

JAN 18, 2007 TURNED IN DS230

TOLD TO EXPECT MAIL IN MARCH.

FEB 20, 2007 RECEIVED MAIL OF

MARCH 27,2007 INTERVIEW DATE

APR 27, 2007 BRING IN AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT

(PRAY THAT HE IS APPROVED)

HE WAS GIVEN INCORRECT DATE!!!!!

MAY 15, 2007 HOPEFULLY THIS IS FINAL APPROVAL

WE HAVE BEEN APPROVED

JUNE 17 2007 FINALLY RECEIVED VISA

AUGUST 3, 2007 FLEW INTO JFK NY

AINT LONG AS IT HAS BEEN.....

STILL SAVING MONEY UP TO FILE AOS.

SONSHYNE- IN A WAY IM GLAD TO KNOW THAT YOU WENT THRU THE SAME THING, IT GIVES ME HOPE

LUIS- YES HE WAS TOLD "YOU ARE APPROVED" AND GOOD LUCK IN AMERICA

MY DESTINY- I ACTUALLY BEEN SO TIED UP WITH SCHOOL AND FINALS THAT I WASNT REALLY KEEPING TRACK TILL I SLOWED DOWN A BIT.

JENGLES- WE HAVE BEEN CALLING AIRPAK AND THEY SAID THERE IS A BACK LOG AND HE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE, AS IF THAT SHOULD MAKE US FEEL ANY BETTER.

BELWINMILLS- HE HAD IT SENT TO AIRPAK IN LUCEA HANOVER

It makes no sense that it has been a month and still no VISA :angry: I understand how you feel, I was in the

same boat waiting for ours to be delivered. I know it's easier said then done but hang in there your visa and your

man soon come :yes:

The Jamaican Embassy really needs to step up their game and get things done in a timely manner!!

More the a month? OMG.......I would be storming the embassy with calls, letters, e-mails, making an appointment to see someone and complain, etc. Andre's took 5 days and I was crazed in between!

Agreed!!!! It should take two weeks at the most, this is absolutly appalling, they have no respect for people, thank god u didn't buy his plane ticket.

Is there an option of going back to the embassy and picking it up directly from the embassy?

Agreed!!!! It should take two weeks at the most, this is absolutly appalling, they have no respect for people, thank god u didn't buy his plane ticket.

My wait was just short of a month as well and yes I was pissed vexed and everything in between :angry: I waited until we had the visa in hand before we got the ticket.... We still ended up paying a much higher fee being that his departure was under 14 days.

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil
