K1 Visa, NVC Complete, Schedule medical and interview? Questions

Good morning!

Was told to report this in the Philippines forum.

I am in Wasilla, AK in the USA, and my fiance is in Manila in the Philippines.   I sent in the I-129F and all required documents at the tail end of July 2019.  Received NOA1 acknowledging receipt of petition  approximately 10 days later.  Received NOA2 saying approved petition was sent to NVC second week of October 2019.  Received email notification from NVC with "MNL" case number, saying approved petition sent to U.S. Embassy in Manila week before Thanksgiving, November 2019.

I have compiled the I-134F, affidavit of support with the requested supporting documentation including, bank account verification letters, employment verification status letter, prior W2 and pay stubs, and stocks & bonds account information.  Also prepared an updated letter of intent, reaffirming my desire to marry, evidence of ongoing relationship, and an exact copy of my original submission.  I emailed this to my fiance to take with her to the interview.

My fiance has her DS-160  with confirmation letter, Philippines passport, 4 2x2 "passport" style photos, NBI police certificate, Birth certificate from PSA, and CENOMAR from PSA.  I know the VISA fee is $265 and am aware of the procedure for paying through BPI, we are going to take care of that before the interview.  We seem to have everything but we are confused about scheduling the medical and embassy interview.

Do we need to wait for the "welcome" letter to be sent to my fiancee before she can schedule her medical?  And the same with the embassy interview?  I haven't heard anything since I got the NVC notification that it was sent to the USEM in Manilla about 2 weeks ago.  Just don't want to waste time here.....  Can the GCP seminar be done before the medical and embassy interview?  I'm sorry, we are trying to do this on our own without any lawyers, so far it has been great, with no RFE's and we are just hoping she can be here in January.

How soon after the interview (assuming approved) does it take for her to get her stamped Visa approval?  And for the travel here, what kind of layovers should I plan at each stop?  How long is she questions for at each customs stop?  I was planning on being safe and having a 4 hour layover or so at each stop, but didn't know if that was too much or too little.  We are probably going to fly MNL > HKG > SEA > ANC on the way back.

Any advice appreciated!!! Thank you!!

GCP can be done anytime

Get moving,  don't wait for the embassy.   Get the medical done and pay your fees so you can schedule the interview

She was will have one point of entry and customs at the first us airport.   Othet airports will be standard connections.

YMMV

I just checked the "CEAC" page and it shows it was updated today.  Shows my status is "READY" but then also says "wait for scheduling instructions from the US Embassy".

I can disregard this and just go ahead and schedule the medical now?

The floodgates are open,  time to get a move on.   Nothing to stop you now

Instructions are on embassy website

medical is just walk in, we did it today,  Day one was test, Day two  was shots and results.

doing CFO / Interview next week

From my prior research, there is no "welcome letter"  all they want to see at medical is your status saying READY or the interview schedule.print out

once you pay the VISA fee, it allows you to schedule the interview.

also just a heads up, unless i missed it something, i was caught off guard my the Medical Fee. I dont recall how much it was exactly, but about $210

Schedule your CFO now, everything was booked 4 weeks out when we looked.

OK.  CEAC status shows READY ... it is ROCK n ROLL time!    Nothing to wait for ... ;)    Nope don't need the Welcome letter from the embassy, everything is online.

Email  the NVC email to your fiancee, she will need to print two copies for the medical.

Medical is walk-in  first come, first served.  No reason to be there early in the morning waiting in line, wait until an hour or two after SLEC opens, plus pre-register online   << Serious, arrived after SLEC has been open for an hour or so, your fiancee will still be done with day 1 of the medical with ease.

Here is a like to a guide for the process:  https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

If you are not a new employee all that is needed with the I-134 is your MOST RECENT tax return/transcript and W-2 ... all can scanned and emailed to your fiancee.     Only new employees would it be good to have provide employer letter and pay statements.

CFO-GCP can be completed anytime.  It is good to get the GCP seminar appt scheduled before the interview as there is limited seating for GCP.

Visa package takes up to 10 days (business) after ISSUED status on CEAC before delivered.    DO NOT book airfare before this.   Once visa is in hand, check it for any TYPOS.

POE is at the FIRST airport in the USA or territory, for that having 4 hrs is good, for any other layovers all you need is adequate time to get from one gate to the next.   SEA would be POE

I find it ironic that she is moving from one of the hottest places to one the coldest. Good Luck on your journey.
