Hey guys,

I had my interview on September 25th. I was given a 221g for my fiance's divorce documents as they were not certified. After finally receiving the documents, I sent them via courier to Montreal Embassy, in which they were received on November 7th.

I got a "date update" on November 21st,  (which was I think because they sent me an email that day) as well as November 27th (which is currently the last update).

I know it says 6-8 weeks of waiting... but is there any chance I'm gonna get issued before then? It will be 4 weeks this Thursday. Can people please share their experiences of their 221g, and how long it took to get issued? I really think I'm starting to go crazy... All I want is to spend Christmas in the U.S. with my love.

I just registered with VJ. Sorry I don’t know what I’m doing exactly. I apologize for not being an expert. I don’t know how to delete posts

Montreal is notoriously slow for responding to 221g.  Well I say that but either they do it within a week or you're there for 8 weeks.  I would email them or use the inquiry form to see what's up.

8 weeks is so ridiculous. Ugh. I feel like emailing them won’t get me anywhere. Thanks for your reply!
