Well, the Justice Department works for all of us, not just Trump.  Rudy Giuliani works for Trump.

Barr's work is delegated on behalf of the President/Chief Executive (of all of us), who is Donald Trump. So by working for Trump, he's working for all of us. Easy.

Well, yes and no. (sorry for delay -- checking with Dad on this one who was highly suspicious of this question, now that he and I disagree on a bunch of things politically.) So, he's the head of the Justice Dept, and serves at the president's pleasure. And of course the Justice Dept is an arm of the executive, sure. And Trump's job is to make sure the laws are faithfully executed. (I will not comment there.) So it follows that the Justice Dept.'s job is to make sure the laws are faithfully executed, and sometimes that means not agreeing with what the President wants, if what the President wants isn't legal/moral/ethical/etc. I'm sure we can agree on that.  

 

And the President works for us, too. Just pointing out the obvious.

As to the looking: She does have a je ne sais quoi about her.

 

I didn't see her on TV so I cannot respond to her excuses.

 

You do have to admit that Democratic voters weary of Trump will look for the alternative that will defeat him. Being a woman and being black are strikes against her perceived electability which will enter into the primary voters calculus. Whether that's fair or good is besides the point, to some only a victory will do and Biden is over Trump in most polls.
