So, I took Nani to Orlando for dinner tonight. Thus far, the closest Ethiopian restaurant was in Miami - clearly too far for us travelling with our baby. We learned last week that an Ethiopian restaurant recently opened in Orlando. That's just under an hour worth a drive for us. We checked it out tonight and I must say "Thumbs Up" for that place. The restaurant looks nice and the food and service was nothing short of great. Guess, we'll be heading over there from time to time. :D

That's great that you now have a place close enough where Nani can get some kind-of authentic :P Ethiopian food. Good hubby, good hubby! :P M.

How does it compare to the real thing. With Thai food there always seems to be a compromise and it get 'Americanized' though not as much as American Chinese food.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

It's never the real thing unless you head overseas. There is some 'Americanzation'. But it's pretty close. Thus far, we found similarly good places only in Nashville (some hole in the wall kind of joint with very good food) and Atlanta.
