Prayers for you in this situation. This is just the worst possible and weirdest thing. Personally, this makes me hate social media (and all internet connectivity) for propagating the fear associated with this flu.

Our interview is on the 23rd and we are supposed to pick up our packet this Friday on the 20th from Anglo American Clinic.

The Clinic isn't answering the phone. I emailed LimaIV about the interview, but I haven't received any word just yet.

As of now, we're just gonna go to the hospital on Friday and find out if the packet is done or not. Quarantine or No.

If it isn't done, we will reschedule ourselves unless we hear word from the US Embassy.

It's actually just not happening because we are not even in Lima, we are in Nuevo Chimbote, and when we went to the bus station, we found out that they cancelled our bus for tonight, and there are no more flights or buses. Not happening.

The clinic answered the phone for us earlier today. My husband went to Corigliano. They said that the results will be ready for us tomorrow, but we can pick it up whenever, such as April 1st when we asked. We asked if the results would still be valid, since his medical exam was March 9th, and they said that would be fine.

I think you should just go to get your results, or try to. The issue is, people cannot actually drive anywhere or fly anywhere in Peru right? So if you're unlucky, maybe your doctor cannot even get to their office. But maybe they can! Just be hopeful.

We also emailed LimaIV. Did you actually read the autoreply that was sent to you after you emailed them? It says this:

So it might actually work out for you guys anyways, since you are already in Lima and have everything done. :) You have to email them and ASK for permission to use an emergency slot. Good luck!

@emosewayma @Evajandra hi! hope you are all doing well and surviving the stay at home order. I have a question regarding the Police Records you submitted to the NVC. Unfortunately I just got an RFE stating that for Peru there are two documents and I only uploaded the Certificado de Antecedentes Policiales. I see on the  NVC website (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Peru.html) that there are also  Certificado de Antecedentes Judiciales and Certificado de Antecedentes Penales. Now I dont know what is it that I am supposed to get...so frustrating

You actually need all three documents. All three were accepted in our NVC. I get the names mixed up because they are similar but you need all three.

Just get them all. Two can be had at MAC Callao (which is very fast!) but I think they added a functionality to print them online. They literally just print them out. Nothing special about the paper they are on.

The other one is at the National Police place on... Av. Arambaru??? Two day process. One day to apply. Next day to retrieve.

Edit: FYI we received two RFEs. 59 days and 62 days for responses from NVC after resubmitting.

Hi, guys! I just read this whole thread. Congrats for the ones that already got their visa! This whole process is exhausting, I got DQ on May 22. Still now word from the embassy. I'm hoping it opens soon. Does anyone have some news from them?

@yoshihz  Hey! I didn't know anyone was here, let alone someone new! So, my husband needs to get his visa. I also know that there are others (like someone I tagged), who had appointments in late March for visas. My husband's old appointment was March 20th. He completed his Medical Examination on March 9th, and we were going to go from Nuevo Chimbote to Lima to pick up his exam results on the 17th of March.... but obviously that didn't happen, since no travel was allowed!  I'm thinking I will just have to take a flight out, since on the 4th of July here, I got robbed of my bag and passport and phone. 😧

When you say you got DQ on May 22nd, what does it mean? Might be a dumb question, because I don't seem to remember what "DQ" means. I like to hear other people's stories, so tell yours if you want! :D

This whole thing sucks, I am in the US currently. I want to fly to Peru as soon as the airport hopefully opens. DQ means Documentarily Qualified.

Hola all!
Yes, My wife had her Visa interview today and it was nice to meet another member of Visajourney at the Embassy! It took absolutely forever!

I don't know if they want to be named, but it was great to meet you! Stay in touch. Here or WhatsApp.

Now we have to ESCAPE PERU! The GAME IS AFOOT!

@Evajandra  It was us! We just got back home by plane/car. Now that my husband finally had his visa interview, I feel that we can talk about it! The applicants were in the Embassy for a total of ~4 hours. The U.S. citizen spouses were not allowed to enter. After a nerve-wracking wait, they all came out, and all had their visas approved! :) Some worker inside the Embassy told my husband that they started processing visas around mid-July. So, if anyone needs information on the process, we will be happy to help out.

It was great to meet you two! I now understand what "Evajandra" means as well. Let's stay in touch, so that way we can ESCAPE PERU faster! :D

hey guys,  happy to read that each of your loved ones got their visa interview already. I recently got my expedite request approved last friday but NVC hasn't sent it to the embassy yet. Anybody has a timeline for the whole thing? I'd really appreciate it, Thanks.
