I just received an email from NVC with our case and invoice number! My wife is also included in the email they sent. I was wondering if my wife will receive anything in the air mail in Vietnam from NVC for additional instructions or do they only use email now?

Both my husband (beneficiary) and I got emails but then my husband also got physical mail about a month after we got the emails, but by then we had already submitted everything!

Has anyone's i864 been not accepted due to not meeting the minimum income requirements, when you definitely do meet them? NVC had messaged me that I may need a joint sponsor. My i864 was not accepted to this issue a couple of weeks ago, and had to resubmit a different i864. I'm also wondering if the NVC counts other household members in the household not counted on the i864.

Update: been very engaged on making sure I pay the AOS/IV fees and  I’m so excited but nervous all at the same time...Anyone got a interview date? Has anyone’s cases been completed through NVC? I need to hear updates please and thank you!!!!

Does it say “rejected” on it or does it say “accepted”? I think the joint sponsor thing is usually a recommendation if they think your income is too low but I think that they should still accept the document so long as it’s filled out correctly? Especially if your income is over the guideline

i think you need at least 3x the poverty level (i believe you can include your household member).  I got a joint sponsor, but then had to get his wife to fill out 864A (as they did a joint tax return, so she need to basically confirm that their joint income could be used).

my husband was DQ on december 5, but no interview date yet (for Sydney). i'm hoping a date will come soon, but with Christmas I'm sure it was delayed.

3x poverty level is only for using assets. For income to qualify you just have to make above the 125% poverty guideline but of course the final call is always up to the CO at the interview

It did say rejected, and they told me to resubmit I-864, I submitted I-864 EZ before

I’ve heard of NVC rejecting I864EZ before too from those who otherwise should have been able to use it, it’s strange. But hopefully they will accept the new I864

More or less. As long as you’ve got the email the physical mail isn’t important. Didn’t even know they were going to send him one until he got it a month after the case was already created and document already submitted!
