Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way  to know if NVC has received my approved petition? My petition was approved on 11/01/2019, yet to receive any correspondence from NVCThere is no further case status update on myUSCIS. I received the NOA2 (approval letter) on November, 6, letter states as folllows " we have sent the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC)..."

Thanks for your help & suggestion in advance

Call them straight to see if they received it. I had to call them, they have received it but not a case# has been established. They said to keep checking my email account for the next step. But I’m not waiting for that I will call them to get the case number as well. Just will wait another week. Call them!!! 👍🏽🙋🏾‍♀️🌞 my case was sent on Oct 29th from USCIS, They received it on the 22nd of November at NVC

WOW... they are so random. I use my passport and driver’s license as a proof of domicile what did you use?

Really, really random... 😂
We used passport too and other docs like our bank account statements and waiting list for our daughter’s school, etc. 👍🏻

You will be good for sure! 🙏🏻

🤪 New month y'all 🤪

This morning it was so funny I called NVC and the machine kept on saying welcome to the NVC, we are closed..  I couldn't perceive it.. so I kept on ringing again.  I was wondering if that guy on there was just saying this to me 🤔

Until I checked VJ then I understood.

I'm praying to be out of that Ap... May all go well. 🙏🤞☘️

My best wishes to all of the family members 🙏☘️. Keep positive!  Patience is a virtue.

Thanks for the response! One more thing, did your case status change on the USCIS site? Or still says " Case was approved"? Mine still says " On November 1, 2019, we approved your Form I-130.."

Thanks,

Thank you, should i use I-864 or I-864EZ? As i am only the petitioner and just filing for my wife, i should be good with I-864EZ right?

I would read through the I864EZ instructions to make sure you mark off all the requirements to qualify for using the EZ, if you do then yes you should be able to use the EZ

USCIS seems to be very random in updating case status, I will definitely give NVC a call and investigate about my case. Thanks for the response!

Amen!!! 38 days today since second submission. The same docs were used for me and our little daughter. She got DQ right after the first review... And I had to submit it again. 🤷🏻‍♂️  Really waiting something good this week. God bless us all!!! 🙏🏻

We ended up having to submit more documentation for my husband after the first submission (didn’t realize they needed his proof of residence for Norway, since he isn’t a citizen), but they also rejected my divorce decree from my previous marriage at the same time... and gave no reason or message as to why. I deleted and reuploaded the best possible copy I could make of it, but I’m so insanely nervous we will get rejected again for some unknown reason. I wonder if they just accidentally hit the reject button sometimes! 25 days since resubmission and counting... :(

I thought I was nervous for RFE back in USCIS stage.. NVC has me even more nervous!! They seem so document-rejection-happy that I've been worrying about every little detail!

Totally! I’m practically sick over it. At least with USCIS I know they had the physical documents in their hands. With NVC, this electronic system seems very subjective.

Hey CamChad42, and Everyone,

Our NOA2 is dated Nov26, we will start calling in about 2 weeks - eventhough our lawyer says we should not call, that it is a useless waste of time (we are thinking about not working with him or any lawyer anymore anyway).

My husband and I are noobies here, since we just got our NOA2. Thanks for all your tips and advice and for sharing so generously your personal experiences (good and bad). This is real gold when discovering the process. So thank you 🙏 and I wish - for those who are almost there now -  that you get a good surprise for Christmas or early next year.

Take care you all, 🤩

Hi 👋👋

i expect you should get an email from NVC Mid December.. they’re averaging around 30 days from NOA2 to create cases and send welcome message..

in the mean time, I highly recommend gathering all the required information and ensuring it’s scanned perfectly into PDF or JPEG... personally I’d ditch the lawyer... they are notorious for mistakes with the NVC system and document uploading..
