I am US citizen and I am planning to bring my mom on family base immigrant visa and I read the processing time is going to take more than a year  from filling i-130 to getting a visa  so I am having a second thought about applying for visit visa so that she can get here  faster since I am pregnant I want her to be here with me  sooner   my question is  if she get the visit visa is there any way to extend her stay here in united states and process i-130 here and even apply for her green card ? is there any one can help me which path i should take ?

You can't have her enter on a tourist visa with intent to adjust status to green card,  that is immigration fraud. If she doesn't even have the B visa yet, don't be surprised if she gets denied it for immigrant intent given what you have said.

Everyone waits....the sooner you file the sooner she will be here.

No, She cannot enter with a visitor visa and has intent to adjust status for a green card.

Since she cannot do the visitor visa and adjust status, there is only one path: apply for the I-130, and complete the consular processing, just like everyone else.

I get that you want her to be here faster but sometimes in life we don't get what we want. I know you're freaking out about being pregnant and birth and a baby. I get all of that. Been there, done that. Twice so far. But with immigration, you need to do things right, otherwise it will always come back and bite you in the behind.

So what if she comes a few months later after you gave birth. Big deal. You can tough out those months. You will not die. My mom came here 5 months after we had our daughter, and our son was 4 at the time. Everything will be just fine. Yes, it will be tired, sleepless nights, all of that. But everyone will survive. What doesn't kill you make you stronger...
