Hi everyone,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to help me out. My question is in regards to my interview which I have scheduled next week at the US Embassy for a K-1 Visa.

I know that in order to prove to the US Government that I won't fall into poverty we need to be able to prove that we have an income/assests of at least X amount. My Fiance and I don't have the required amount at the moment so we have her father sponsoring us. His salary covers the amount we need (with his household included), so the main question I have is what exactly do I need to bring with me to the interview (along with the I-134 Affidavit of Support) to prove that I with the sponsorship I have the funds required to gain my K-1 Visa?

At the moment I plan to bring my fiance's I-134 and my sponsors I-134, up to date payslipss and W2's (taxable salary earned to date). Is there anything else I should be bringing too? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All the best, and thank you in advance.

I-134 from the cosponsor and all supporting financial documents from the cosponsor only. That can be in the form of payslips, or employer letter (they like those), or a tax transcript.

Thanks for the reply!

On the form website it says a whole bunch of stuff. Do you think if I get his most recent paystub, his W2 and a letter of employment then that will be enough?

Yes David that's more than adequate, good luck on interview day, remember w2 and paystubs from your fiance too, even though she falls under the fresh hold the CO interviewing you may ask for it, ( like mine did) so best to go in fully prepared

Definitely include the tax transcripts, although the wording on the website it seems like these are optional I read several threads where they have had RFE for these. For ours we have tax transcripts, W2, 1040 (tax return). We did not have any questions on the affidavit during the interview they had everything they needed.

For a spousal interview, the I-864 must include a tax return+W2 or a transcript.

For a fiancé interview in London (like the OP), a tax return is not required with the I-134 if there are other proofs to show income.
