we are thinking of going to the Philippines to see my wife's eldest daughter , heres the catch she is still married there in the Philippines , our K- was thru HongKong where she got her divorce. She  came here we got married  she became a US citizen ,YEA ! , so my question is there need for concern on her returning to the Philippines as a US Passport holder even tho she is still married there

The Philippines honors divorces in HK just like the US does.  As she received a legal divorce she most assuredly is not “married” anywhere else, except to you.

Yes, she can go back to the Philippines without any problems. Also do not start more than one thread for single topic.

There won't be any issues.

Wife is a USC only not a dual citizen   Even less of an issue then.

Safe travels

Not true for the Philippines.

Interesting.  Overseas divorce services for Filipinos is big business (and) valid, legal marriage is recognized universally between (civilized LOL) countries.

Philippines is one of those civilized countries that recognizes it.

Are you implying otherwise in this case?

Nothing implied.   Just how it is for Philippine citizens, a foreign divorce is not universally accepted in the Philippines.   In fact divorce, in general, is not allowed in the Philippines.

There is a court process to get a foreign divorce recognized (For Philippine citizens), but without this lengthy court process a divorce document is little more than landfill.

I retract.  Was unaware that the Philippines (in spite of their recent court rulings recognizing foreign divorces) do not actually recognize them, leaving them once again off of the list of (civilized) countries who do

@Hank  - thanks dude
