See your comment in Red. I stand by my answer. Your making a mountain out of a ant hill. Oy Vey!

Im asking a simple question that you guys seem to not know the answer to. The question is why is the message different. Even if the meaning is the same, the question still remains, why, in our group, does their messages say the same thing and mine says something different, but to the same effect. Before I asked postes this topic, I searched google and I searched this forum, and at least 3 others in 2014/2015/2016 have asked this same question, however they got this message when they were filing other forms, not the I-129F, and they got this message when their petitions were further down the line in processing, doing their biometrics for example,  or sending in documents for N-400, or setting up the interview for N-400. I have yet to see anyone else, besides me, get this message while waiting for NOA2 for I-129F. But I see you guys don’t know the answer, and that’s fine, so we’ll finish this convo here, and leave it for the next guy/gal who’s going to ask/search for this question.

To again, highlight the fact that all of our CEAC status updates are the same, the discrepancy with my and my friend’s case status is not found in CEAC, is on MyUSCIS. I mentioned CEAC to point out that we ALL had the same message there, but NOT the same message on MyUSCIS. Sorry if the title confused you, and apparently my question as well.

AGAIN, I’m not concerned about the CEAC status, that’s not what I’m questioning. Nevermind. Reading comprehension is a skill.

again, you bring it up.  Not sure why any of you are checking a CEAC status if you already know it doesn't matter. I know it doesn't matter.

AGAIN, it doesn't matter that your MYUSCIS messages are different when they mean the same thing.  Lets see I've said it doesn't matter, oh 4 times.  This is the 5th.  Happy Thanksgiving!

If anything I've helped your postcount LMAO

Why be rude on a site where people with years of US immigration experience offer FREE advice to newbies like yourself?  SMH.

Because they don’t answer questions, that’s why. NikLR is still taking about CEAC status when that wasn’t even my question. Hahaha. They are saying it doesn’t matter that the MyUSCIS status messages that I’m getting and my friends are getting dont matter when they mean the same thing. I didn’t ASK if it matter, I asked the simple question WHY is it different. They don’t know the answer, so instead of saying they don’t know, they jump to a resolution of a question that I didn’t ask. That’s like me asking why does this chocolate cake have eggs in it and this chocolate cake has has oil in it? They would say “doesn’t matter, it’s chocolate cake, tastes the same!” That’s not my question!

The problem with people with years of experience is they become jaded apparently and know so much that they can’t admit when they don’t know something. It was a simple question that could’ve been answered with a simple “I don’t know why it’s different, but the meaning is the same so no big deal” or like Pitaya responded “Ask the Federal bureaucracies involved, DHS, DOS and USCIS.“ But instead they responded with condescension and arrogance. Or rather NickLR did, Greenbaum was just being Greenbaum, he gets a pass

I’d recommend you only check the online tracker for which ever part of the process you are at...

once your petition is approved forget uscis move onto NVC.. the two never aligns as they are two entirely different entities..

stop checking your stuff vs other people, each case is unique... no one knows what’s going on in the background of each petition.. you could be worrying for something as simple as your file sitting on someone’s desk..or in process of being mailed etc, where others are not..

ive found the case trackers mostly useless.. never promptly updated... my USCIS one still says petition received 2018!.. but has been approved and is processing at NVC..

:ot:You are so right. Why they don't even deserve to get compensated for the entire month. I will just contact the accounting department and see about having their weekly pay cut in half! Let's see...... 8 hours x $ 0 (zero)/hour = $0,  so 0.5 x 0 = $0 (zero). I will forward this information to accounting right now.......

Happens all the time, there will be thousands and yet thousands out there that has the exact same status as you, and another thousands and thousands who don't - despite being in the exact same processing.

The case status online can update to literally anything, and it doesn't matter. Only the actual mail conversations matter. Some people have their online statuses updated to "name was updated" even though they never asked to have their names updated. Some are stuck at "case was received" even after doing their biometrics while others are updated to "fingerprint review completed" after having done their biometrics. Some status never update at all. Some (including my own) don't even work at all and all they get is an error message letting them know that "receipt number doesn't exist", etc etc... You can go on FOREVER about the online case status, but the only ones who can answer your question (even though it's a completely irrelevant one) are the technicians at USCIS. But why bother?

I have the same message when I log into my MyUSCIS account as well, nothing to worry about.

From looking at your attached screen shots I actually think the messages are from 2 different areas of the website. If you just got to the USCIS website, you can check your case status without needing to sign into an account and what you see is exactly like pic number one. If you have an account and you log in, you will see what you have in pic 2.

Either way, they both mean the same thing and it means your case has not been reviewed as of yet, nothing to worry about.  You can check processing times on the main USCIS site for your service centre as well to get an idea of how long you might wait for NoA2.   Hope that helps!

Hahaha thank you for responding, knowing this, it makes a lot more sense now. Of course the governments websites wouldn’t update like they should. Wow, I’m sure that was frustrating when it said your receipt number didn’t exist. That’s just crazy. But thanks again!

Glad to hear someone else has the same message. Both messages appear when you login to MyUSCIS, I got my friends’ receipt numbers and added them to my account also to make sure, so I have like 5 receipt numbers and four say the same thing in picture 1 and 1 (mine) says what’s in picture too. But basically now I realize the USCIS system and status updates can’t be relied upon anyway, so I’ll just wait patiently for NOA2 haha. Thanks for your response
